And so God called Moses to come forth but he came fifth and was therefore disqualified.

Why is it that whenever I'm in a revenant, the other teams revenant suddenly has a personal vendetta to kill me? For example, I'm just going to the red team base, and their revenant spots me from the opposing side of the map and decides to leave his splatter spree to try to kill me.

Lets figure this out:

Option 1: See the other revenant and make a futile attempt to destroy it.

Option 2: See the other revenant and ignore it so you can continue racking up the splatters.

The same thing happens with ghosts.

Another thing is this:

A teammate and I get in a revenant. I have the enemy flag. We are about to score, when he suddenly gets an urge to take place in a 1v1 with the wraith.

Lets figure this out:

Option 1: Continue driving toward base and score the flag.

Option 2: 1v1 the wraith and, as we all know, you lose.

So....

Anyone out there a decent driver? I need a decent driver.

Clone is an internet God.

RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

They are trying to prevent Revy sniping.

Oh, ok.

the gun pointed at the head of the universe

seems like the honourable thing to do really, since a revenant is much more likely to be able to kill another revenant than a few poor bastards on foot are; or at least, it'll be quicker and result in less casualties in the long run.

chances are I don't care who you are or what you say.

if you are in a tank do you want the other team's tank dead too?
how about a banshee?
a hog?

same deal with the revy

I usually wont engage in 1v1's with the other team's vehicles. It's better to let the other 7 dudes take it out and then go on your rampage with your own vehicle. Otherwise you just risk getting damaged and then your spree is cut short.

Was like that on Valhalla with the banshees and hornets on Avalanche. Never engaged in 1v1 duels.

Always up for REACH customs!

If you're confident in your ability to out-duel another Revenant, better to be proactive and blow it up quickly than ignore it until it ambushes you. If you're not, or if yours is too damaged to survive the clash, rely on your team.

Revenants aren't meant for 1v1 fights, wtf, poor OP.

I do the same when I encounter an enemy revenant. Mostly because I know with my luck, their pushy cannon will knock me over before mine does, usually resulting in me being killed and the revenant being stolen, or it being killed by the enemy driver after I'm dead.

I always take the chance at taking them out early before they can pop in un-announced at a time you really don't want them to.

Ramming another Revenant at full speed is a fast way to get a cheap advantage in a duel (unless he's ramming at full speed too, you'll both blow up).

LOL thats soo cute

If he kills you, he can continue his splatter spree later without having to worry about the possibility of you blind-siding him.

Not your average noob

You're a threat to him and his teammates so obviously he wants to kill you.

  • 02.01.2012 1:08 PM PDT

If you want to win a Revy fight, go shoot at theirs from kind of far away and them bait them back to your Wraith.

What really drives me nuts is when I am trying to Revy snipe, the guy who is driving goes full speed instead to the spawn point of the other base and we get killed by the other Revy, a warthog and 3 people DMRing us, one of whom takes the sniper right after. Why do you need to rush behind the enemy's base when all the power weapons are up? It's the dumbest thing ever.

  • 02.01.2012 1:13 PM PDT

Driving a revy is easy:
1. Go for splatters on unaware/distracted opponents, unless it is slayer.
2. Use the gun on opponents that see you, and whenever there is a wraith nearby.
3. Flee when you are weak or in imminent danger.
4. Don't leave the objective guy stranded.
5. Revy sniping can be fun, but dying typically leaves your team's Sniper in enemy territory.

It should be common sense.
