When playing Halo on legendary, what one battle, or ceratain area is the hardest to get by? And you have to have killed all the enemies in the area too.

Personally, I think its either when you have to fight the black Elites in the kitchen (or mess hall) on The Maw, or that last big battle at the end of Two Betrayals.

What do you guys think?

Through war we will teach your heresy.
Through battle we will teach your frailty.
Through death we will teach your fate.

*Spoliers* I suppose

Right after you find out about Captian Keyes being turned into a flood and then a army of flood come at you and then fuel-rod armed grunts and black elites come tearing into the romm their after...

It hurts me just thinking about it...

Well, I don't fight those guys in the mess hall...I run my pretty little ass past them while they're busy with the flood.

I would have to say...the second level when the two drop ships hit at the same time. Theres no way to really do that part alone the same way each time. The AI always does something that you didn't think they would because they have such a large area to work in. Plus, you're pretty limited in the weapons at your disposal. No hog or sniper rifle.(I'm talking about the first group of marines you run into) Its hard as hell, but at the same time a blast because its always different. I would love to see more instances like that in Halo2.

how about the first level when the elite and grunts are on the landing above you and there are about 4 marines down on the bottom floor with you. that was pretty tough. but the thoughest ive seen is the end on two betrayels. its tough (now why the heck is that army there, from what i can understand, they are there merely to defend the two banshees)

I would say that it's a toss up between the first checkpoint inside the ship on the Truth & Reconciliation and fighting wave after wave of dropships at the first fortress in Halo.

That part is easy. Plasma pistol in hand, make sure you got lots of nades and an oversheild, and rush em. I consistently leave there with full health.

but the thoughest ive seen is the end on two betrayels. its tough (now why the heck is that army there, from what i can understand, they are there merely to defend the two banshees)

I usually just hop down and steal the banshees. Not the safest way out, but deffinately does not make it hard.

I think the hardest part in on Truth and Reconciliation. The first part after the gravity lift with all the invisible gold plasma sword wielding elites come at you.

Marines are friggin useless.

you know you dont have to fight that battle i really missed out because the first time i played that level i ran passed everyone now its fun and nearly impossible to go in there with no vehicle and no sniper simply a hotgun and a needler hard -blam!-

I acutally think that the last battle on two betrayals (u mean where u can grab the sniper and rocket right? is pretty easy) the ones i had trouble with were said gold elites in t&R as well as the first part of Halo at the base thingy. Needlers sure blow up elites good :)

On Truth and Reconciliation I think it's the part when your at the gravity lift and all those elites, grunts and jackles keep on coming, then when you get into the ship, that room is SSOOOOO annoying, me and my friend kept on dying....too many of the grunts and jackles kind of keeps you busy....then all of a sudden a gold elite *WHACK* hits you from behind. But first my friend grabs the camo and I keep the first gold elite busy while he whacks him.

personally, i think the library is one of the hardest due to the fact that the flood are so unpredictable. then there is the battle in the two betrayls, i usually grab the sniper rifle and fly to the bridge myself. and third, is the truth and reconsiliation from the grav lift through the first room inside.

Yeah, the part at the grav lift on Truth and Reconcilliation and the part right after that when you are in the ship and you have to fight all those gold elites, both those are hard. And also the part on the level Halo when you find the first marines, that part makes me mad.

I noticed some people were saying theres certain spots that you can run through, but my question was which battle is the hardest when you have to kill all the enemies.

Honestly i can just pick one spot because there are a lot that still give me problems, but that battle at the end of Two Betrayals still seems the hardest to me (when not using the banshee)

I find whenever I fight by myself I do so much better. Mainly because I am not falling into my habit of, " Save every human life. " So the hardest battle for me would be this. The fist two areas where you get the marines. Where the Warthog is and where the Scoprion is. Those two areas are tough to keep everyone alive. I generally pull it off without a hitch, but it is very hard. Sad thing is I find it easier without using vehicles. Exception being the Ghost so I can get to Sarge and his two marines faster, but even then I ditch it almost immediately once I reach the fire fight. After that I'd say just keeping the marines alive. That lone is the hardest of any battle. Makes it seem so much more like the war.

i really dont do good keeping them alive. its hard enough keeping myself alive on legendary. that reminds me, another hard part is when you escort captain keyes. stupid -blam!- always runs in and gets blasted

I hate Captain Keyes on that level too. I always try to keep him alive and then I die trying to save his skin when he turns into a flood later anyway.

When inside the Truth and Reconciliation up the grav lifts where the gold elites are is very simple. You just need grenades and a plasma pistol. First off when a door opens with jackals and grunts you chuck a grenade and kill them. You overcharge your pistol and pump em with plasma for the sword wielding elites. Try to save your marines and after they die pick up the camo and start meleeing its actually very easy.

I would have to agree with the end of the two betrayals. I just go by in a ghost and never get killed tho so it isn't that hard for me. Personally I think the toughest battle I have ever had is with a gold elite, with a plasma sword, melee. (I ran out of ammo). We ran back in forth missing each other for about 12 minutes. Until there was one victor.... and that was the elite. I turned the X-BOX off. I really had to go pee.

I would have run from him to get ammo........
Then shot him!
