Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

as some of you know the secondary colour for your spartan/elite model in multiplayer was amazing for a small feature. i miss doing tricks with the ghost in Halo: Combat Evolved by ramming it againt vehicles then flipping of them (in the other Halo games the ghost only hovers of the ground)

how about you?

Pleased; The campaign levels are addicting as hell and have so much replay value.

Dissappointed: They discontinued online multiplayer before I got xbox live.

I don't really have complaints since I've retired and rested.

Pleased:

Regret boss battle. He may be a damage sponge but goddamn, that room is so fun to play in!

  • 02.01.2012 11:11 PM PDT

Complaint: Arbiter missions didn't involve human environments (I wanted to kill civilians and marines).

Pleased with: Large scale vehicle battles.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I was pleased with the satisfying boss battles, but I was disappointed that I couldn't battle marines in the Arbiter missions.

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

Pleased: A lot of things, but I'd have to pick the storytelling. It was great the whole way through, but especially the last 4 missions. I was sucked into the story, I really felt in the middle of a civil war, I felt the sense of betrayal, and the sense of the victimization of the grunts and the elites. The storytelling was spectacular.

Disappointment: Probably the lack of human battles and the fact you never have covenant allies as Master Chief.

Please: The wide-range of Elites, the Honor guards and Concilors. Disspointment: damage sponging Brutes and Tarturus boss fight, I fought he would be somewhat tougher.

Try Tartarus on Legendary with Mythic skull if you want a good test.

Pleased: Amazingly fun glitches, best multiplayer maps overall, and a decent weapon sandbox. (Well... Except for the dual-wield scheme. That's a negative for me.)

Displeased: Lack of promised Earth battles in Campaign, larger hitboxes, dual-wield scheme (As previously mentioned) and no dedicated servers. (Complaint with pretty much every Halo on Xbox for me)

Pleased: The excellent campaign: Fun, great environments, enemies, storytelling, the beautifully done cliffhanger.

Disappointed: That horrible tormenting spoiler.

Ehh, you must not have seen any of my posts for a while

I know I was being a little arsehole and whining about Halo 2, but I played through the entire campaign (took me 8 hours) and found it to be a masterpiece

ok then, i'm quite suprised

  • 02.02.2012 2:29 PM PDT

Pleased - Xbox Live, massive exploration opportunities, the optional dual wielding, the campaign, the easter eggs, the skulls, SOME of the glitches, team options like Clans, Arbiter and the Elites story, the feel of the gameplay, Teh Sword, the Multiplayer maps were my favourites of the series.

Disappointed - Lack of Earth Levels (Metropolis started to get intense then we left Earth like that), Clans being removed from stat tracking, Dual wielding next to useless, Live being shutoff, missing features from the Halo 2 Beta (Mongoose, Saved films etc although I still have the beta.. xD) the E3 New Mombasa level, however scripted it may be, the Flood appearance on the Gas mine was irrelevant and ruined the impact later on and most importantly, the lack of LIVE or System Link Co-op.

Think that's a reasonably balanced arguments that affected me xD

Actually it just means I won't be playing Halo games very often.

When H4 comes out, if I get it, I won't be uploading much of it until Halo 5.

Fada beo Halo 2!

Pleased: exploring was made easy and there are huge off-map areas :D
Disappointed: that this wasn't in there.

Posted by: path1kNow he just goes around hating most of Halo: Combat Evolved's campaign for the exact opposite reasons he hated Halo 2's campaign.

Oh, by the way, he also turned around and said he appreciates the game now just like he did for Halo 2. Funny how that works, huh?

I wouldn't say that in such a matter of fact way if I were you. You might actually be inspired to get back into doing stuff with Halo with Halo 4. New developer, new ideas, etc. Have a little hope! I've been trying to hold onto that for quite some time now. >.>

Why are you disappointed? It's right there. Doesn't make a real difference if it's in the game or not if you can still enjoy it that way... Also, how were they planning to put that into the game? That is way too long for a single cut-scene. I always just thought they made it as an extra.

Ah but I didn't mean anything like that. When I said I won't be uploading much of it, I meant glitches, megabattles, strategies, etc. I'll be discovering as many as I can in self-exile from Halo forums and will unveil all of them in one huge megathread sometime after Halo 5 comes out.

This is to see if people will give a -blam!- or will just ignore me. It will ultimately prove that the Halo community only cares about the next/newest Halo game and that very few actually care about CE, H2, H3, and ODST. On the bright side, H4's release might destroy Reach. :D

Wish I could agree but people like Reach content.

Only the majority. Consider those the a blind mass. They simply follow on to the newest game. But the people who stay are the ones who matter. As they can appreciate something better.
