If you think about it....in 343 guilty spark..when you first enter the building...there's no floods...just human bodies and covenants...when you see the video of jenkin's helmet...and like forehammer said.... IT WAS 12 HOURS AGO!!!when the flood containment was open 12 HOURS ago....why isnt the place filled with flood?

Then when you enter the building...it was sooooo empty..When you see the video...the floods start coming.....and attacked the marines (P.S: if you look closely at the video, keyes's an idiot to shoot at the wall...with the pistol....Blinded captain) and the room they were in...was filled with flood...when you entered the building...there was no flood...they didnt come out yet? that dont really make sense...it's like...ambush? if they ambush...they knew someone would come....they can tell time?...perhaps....

After you got out of the rooms...the bodies of the marines...turned into floods....But when you first entered....why it isnt even infected yet? It's still fleshy...and it was 12 Hours ago...

And i heard a marine survived fighting the flood and reached to the library....how did he do that? Didnt every marines died in 343 guilty spark killing floods?

Oh, okay. I have no idea how you got all the way in there without seeing a single Flood, and then can't go 2 feet on the way out without getting pummeled by one. It is a curious thing.

As you make your way to the structure in the swamp, there is two instances of Flood outside the structure, before you encounter the masses of infection forms in the locked room.

When you pass by the downed Covenant transport ship, you soon come to a knocked over tree that you have to cross. If you look to the left side, you can see into the swamp. As you pass near the middle of the tree, you can see a combat form running in the swamp. If you time it right, you can throw a grenade down there, and when it explodes the combat form will be knocked down, and you can run up next to it before it despawns into a tree.

The second instance is also while you move along the fallen tree. On the far side, up the hill, you can see a Covenant Shade turret. If you look to the left of the turret, you can see a combat form near the bushes. A well-placed shot from the pistol can knock this Flood down so you can run up to it before it despawns.

......So...if it's out..but since a guy posted that some floods are out of the building already....then....There's must be more on the ring.....in the video..you see johnson talking in radio....a guy was attacked...by floods... he said " we got contacts !! LOTS OF them!! They are breaking throught!! OH NOOOOOOOOOOOO" lots of them? Floods got loose before the human entered the flood room? then who opened the flood room?

At the end of AOTCR Cortana says "Those fulls (The Covenant) they must have known what they were doing" She is of course refering to the Covenant releasing the Flood. Missmatched Marine and Flood forms thoroughout the level are from the alpha coding of the game. It's the same way you find the marine in the middle of nowhere above the level. Bungie placed these models there when they were designing the game. The time delay factor (as has already said) was caused by the splipspace jump with the crystal from Reach (very complicated to explain how they somehow crossed over themselves to create a re-time delay, im stopping now too confusing). The reason the humans are still not deformed or changed by the time the chief came is probably mostly because Bungie didnt draw a character model for a mutating human or the flood forms have yet to realise they can reanimate humans (not yet awoken to innate instinct?). Further to proove the theory of the Covies opening the Flood Room is the quote "the covenant sealed this up pretty tight." Most likely the Covies entered this room realised what was there (past instances on other Halo's?) and sealed it off. Keyes and his platoon just enter it trying to activate "the weapon" on halo to destory the Flood.

"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."

This should be in the Lbrary.

But the answer to the question about the marine that survived fighting the flood and reached the library......there is no explanation, but he was a Sargeant (I think) and the master Cheif said that he was a "tough son of a -blam!-."
