Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

What theories and conclusions can you draw from this book? What questions does it leave you with?

Mine:

*spoilers*
-How did the UNSC find Guilty Spark? He was destroyed by the Chief on Installation 04 II.
-Are the Precursors and the Flood one and the same? If not, what is their relationship?
-What happened to Vinnevra and the ape, Mara?

Now you guys, state your theories, ask your questions, and give your overall impression of Halo Primordium, and the Forerunner Saga as a whole.

IMO Primordium was awesome. One of my favourite Halo books. I prefer it to Cryptum.

We should know better, because we are better.

Was it mentioned somewhere that Spark had backups? The light bulb we know and hate was just one of his many personalities and the original Chakas is still out there somewhere. I think that was said.

I think the Precursors developed the Flood. People would not willingly make peace so they had to force it upon them. I think the Flood fits that purpose too well to have evolved on its own. What are the chances of a parasitic species that absorbs the host while maintaining it's memories evolving on it's own?

I don't recall it mentioning how they got 343 Guilty Spark. He could be a back up copy, but that raises the question, does the back up copy have all the same memories that the original had? All the same powers? Including the memories of what happened to the original Spark recently, eg. pertaining to his destruction.

It was never said how they found him but it is possible they may have found him in someplace like the Ark or near the Portal. I think it also apologizes for all the trouble it caused which means it probably knows what the other Spark knows. It is also possible that it found out about other Spark from the ship's databases.

The second Spark could have been created with Installation 04 II as well, and managed to escape, with some damage (perhaps caused by the slipspace portal), to be recovered by humans.

This is what I was thinking.

The GS we meet in CE could possibly not be the same one we meet in Halo 3.

Some peace the Flood offer. Jacob and Jenkins had a thrilling time being infected.

But anywho, this seems to be the most solid theory. As for The Primordial, I don't think we'll ever really know what it truly was.

And 343 was derived from Chakas in his Monitor form, like a splinter of his personality.
