If you played H1 and H2, you'd realise Bungie "broke the formula".
I doubt H3 will go as wrong as Halo 2 did, as the team will hopefully have learnt to manage their time better, have a far better idea of what they want to do with Halo 3, and will be further along in the design process.
For those not in the know, after E3 2003 (halfway through development), they didn't have any playable code. Not even a demo. In a Bungie employee's own words "We messed up".
If Frankie's being truthful, at this stage they are starting to have playable sections, which is certainly an improvement over Halo 2's progress. As well as hopefully knowing where they're taking the game this time (instead of having no clue what's going to happen in the campaign, and how the missions will work) ... which means the campaign hopefully won't have filler, boss battles, poor, boring design, and so on.
If you don't believe my post, watch the making of DVD. Bungie basically admit to messing up H2's development on there, hence numerous problems with the final product.
Finally, someone else who actually watched and listened to the Making of DVD. Then we wouldn't have so many people complaining about H2 a year after release and not knowing why H2 turned out the way it did. (Not that it was a bad game; but it did have flaws) ive been saying they messed up far longer than anyone else and all i got was a bunch of idiots who blindly said it was the best game ever without even watching the first trailer and gameplay and why do they still have those pics in the gallery none of that ever even happend plus i too saw the making of it and it didnt just have flaws they changed the original story
I know. The DVD explains so much about what really happened during H2 developement, that it almost explains why it was short, no clear ending, etc. I really belive if more people would watch that freaking DVD we wouldn't have so many H2 flamers here and such and all the complaining would really be decreased.
