No worries. We've retained an absurd amount of talented dudes and ladies. These are new, additional positions. If your skills fit, please to be applying for them!
I'm probably qualified to do light custodial work, is there a position available for me?

Destiny confirmed for MMO.

In my eyes, at least =)

I hope that isn't based on the economic designer position. I honestly think, like sports teams, video game studios are going to start hiring economists across the board. Econometrics has done wonders in analyzing statistics for the MLB/NFL and I imagine it will do some interesting things for gaming as well to promote longevity through better player investment.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Yep, that is why many game have "unlocks" for getting X amount of points or credits. Those intensives keep people playing for a long time.

I know right? :)

Unfortunately it's all that WWU teaches at my current level in the Computer Science Program, I'm starting to learn C++ on the side though...

So...many...contract...positions!

What will us poor people do when the contract expires and we still have loans to pay?

I might be able to do the IT Tech Support desk thing.

I can read, and I know some of the stuff. No Achronos I won't help you when visual studio keeps crashing.

Heavy weighs the crown, low hangs the head who wears it.

I wonder if the "related field" for a degree in computer science covers a 4 year applied sciences degree for honors computing and network engineering..

Some interesting tidbits gleaned from the descriptions:

-Under Entry Level Engine Programmer, it says " Your customers will be designers, artists and feature engineers striving to build the best and most technically impressive games in the world."
This either means that Bungie will be outsourcing it's new engine Unreal-style, or that's just DeeJ saying that the engineers will be catering to the rest of Bungie's droves of employees.

-One of the "Nice to have skills" for the Engine Programmer is "A love of close quarters combat".
This suggests that Bungie's upcoming project is going to be somewhat melee-centric.

-One of the "Nice to have skills" for the Graphics programmer is "A love of combat on the high seas".
Naval combat possibly confirmed?

-One of the "Nice to have skills" for the Animation Programmer is a "Penchant for piracy on the Briny Deep".
Further confirmation of naval combat?

Alternatively, the last three could be interpreted as Bungie building a force of sea-goers and swashbucklers to facilitate their conquering of the world.

My Best Bungie moment: finally beating all the Halo games on solo legendary.
My Worst Bungie moment: not seeing giant stuffie grunts in the Bungie store.

One day...

Well, since your fellow employees will be using the engines and tools you make to build stuff, you need to be able to design it with them in mind so it's easy to use. Doesn't neccesarily mean that they are outsourcing said engine.

Wouldn't that be nice?

P.S. Bungie, make it more like Dark Souls, less like Skyrim >_>

I'm a stubborn guy. I love to argue my opinion, but unlike others, I'll try to see your side of the problem. I'm a triathlete, with a very heavy empephis on the swimming bit. Also, don't hate on the ~Quinton~ at the end of my posts. Why are you still reading this? #creeper #hashtagcashmoney for hashtaging on Bungie.net

Would a 17 year old be able to fill the job opening for writing? I haven't written for anyone/thing major but I do have a bunch of short stories and I'm working on a book. Ahah it is worth a chance, right?....
