Seriously. Just a few months ago, I knew exactly what this forum was for. It was the Bungie Community forum. Pretty self explanatory.

But now I see threads like this and this and this and this and this and this and this and this and this and this and this.

And everything has changed. It's almost as if I could think of any off topic idea, make a reference to Bungie/DeeJ and it's fine. It's basically the Flood 2.0, albeit full of people trying desperately to get an employee to post in their thread.

So what is this forum for exactly? Any random crap that we can think of as long as we reference a mod/employee?

Mostly for the title thread...

It is for discussion of Bungie, this site and the community. That's how I'd describe it.

EDIT: I admit that lately there seems to have been a surge of threads with no real discussion where the OP seems to just be hoping an employee will post though.

You described it perfectly. Anything that has to to with Bungie as a company, or anything that has to do with the site belongs in this forum. If you think about it like that, you can see why they posted those threads here.

Well, with Bungie having gone dark there is only so much we can do and talk about here, it's very limited. Frankly, I love this forum because of the homely feel and the understanding of how we all are oddly "a Community." Frankly in the grand scheme of things we are a very small peoples, and that is how we like it.

Once Bungie comes out of the dark and the new Destiny wave starts huddling in for warmth, things will change. Don't get so self-aware of the forum, it isn't necessarily the best thing to do. *group hug*

Relax. I'd rather not piss this thing off.

Im not seeing it the way you do, I find Bungie Community forum to talk about Bungie related things such as the community and bungie jobs or other things relating to bungie products.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

The Bungie Community Forum is for all topics directly related to the Bungie community itself, the Bungie.net community, and the Bungie.net website. Additionally, this forum is for discussion about World Domination, Bungie LLC itself, Bungie Aerospace, and Bungie lore. It seems that you have a problem with silly or non-serious threads. Nowhere does the description of this forum require threads to remain completely serious. If you thought that this forum was for serious threads only, or that you can make any thread you want and simply "refer to" Bungie or the moderators, you haven't been coming to it for very long.

There's a difference between 'non-serious' and ridiculous, IMO. Can I make a thread about pandas here because there is an avatar of a panda?

I'm sure I could make a connection between a panda thread and those in the community that use the avatar.

I wouldn't go saying that too loudly.
It's amazing what comparisons can be drawn up if you put your mind to it.

What can I say? There's no news, nothing solid to talk about - people get bored.

Why does this bother you?

Because instead of threads that are decent and actually have discussion value, we get lines of users posting absolute crap just to get some attention.. It's like a stain on that shirt you like to wear, except they're all over.

Edit. Sorry about double post. Didn't realise my last one went through

This forum is for discussing three things.

1) A complaint based on something a moderator does.
2) Discussing the title system*
3) Any new ideas Spartain Ken has.

Sigh let things go on as they are no one is complaining. I think this thread is mainly a refuge and a place to go when the only active place left is the flood. And some people do not like that place so they come here to talk.

This has mainly become a chat room.
