In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

If we could trust everyone to use it responsibly, yes. Unfortunately, that's not the case.

The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

As you waste your breath complaining about life, Someone out there is breathing their last. Appreciate what you have.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

If you take out a mortgage, your house doesn't belong to you. Doesn't mean you can't lock the front door.

This. The community determines the discussion value, not the author of the thread.

Hardly. They're ideological and metaphorical equals (apart from the fact that Bungie will always own BNet but you can eventually pay off your mortgage and own your house).

I'm Just saying comparing this question to your house and being able to lock it or not is different thats all.

Relax. I'd rather not piss this thing off.

The forums would be just full of locked threads from "trolls", and thats a mess to clean up after. So definitly a no.

Perhaps one could request a mod to lock it? But not a big deal either way.

If it's based on the user's trust rating, sure.

No, pages and pages of locked threads look absolutely horrible - and a thread may equally contain further discussion value.
If you want a thread locked, message a Ninja, and they can make the call as to whether it's the right decision.

Would you still support it if it were based on what title you held?

  • 02.04.2012 5:09 AM PDT

Not a chance, unless there were some criteria for who could do it. If it was made possible for everyone to do it, we would have people who would just spam self-locked threads, just to clog up the forums.

  • 02.04.2012 5:09 AM PDT

Who the hell do you think I am?

Ha, yeah right. That would never work out well.

Yeah, I think only letting mythics or people with high trust ratings use this feature would be the best Idea.

My god, the amount of threads complaining about favouritism and elitism would be off the scale.

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

I'm not in favor of this idea. I believe too many threads would be locked for the wrong reasons.

It's kind of hard to separate the two. Your title is based on that same trust rating.
