So because you personally find no interest in Halo community websites' stat tracking abilities, you want that privilege gone? I feel a bit embarrassed wearing the same avatar as you.I never said that. I love Halo Tracker. Pretty sure he was talking about Waypoint's stats and tracking. Even if he wasn't, that doesn't change much. I also never said that the privilege should be gone. I'm arguing that it shouldn't be a priority. Maybe you should reread my post more carefully.
And you should feel embarrassed. That's my avatar, stop being a copy cat and get your own.

It's irrelevant if Halo CE and 2 didn't have API for stat tracking. However it is relevant that those games would have been much better with proper API.If it's relevant that those game would've been better with API then it would absolutely be relevant that they didn't. That statement doesn't make any sense. Especially since I was using them as examples as to why API isn't important when it comes to making great Halo games.

Honestly any game is much better with a more involved community, and API stat tracking helps encourage that. It's a great investment, and the benefits easily outweigh the resource costs. Not necessarily. Halo Reach was formed the way it was because a certain part of the community was heard more than the others. That seems to be the general consensus. "Casuals made Reach what it is", which means a lot considering that Reach is agreed to be a major digression when compared to previous Halo games. Halo 4 would probably be a better game if 343 exercised much more personal judgment than listening to any of the communities.
That may not be what you were trying to say, but even if it wasn't, can you say that you know for a fact that the development of an API would "easily outweigh the resource costs"? Even for a game that 343 didn't even make in the first place, taking into consideration that they've already been given the job of making three more Halos?

If you want to be taken seriously in any argument like this, you need to consider how other people play games, and not just what you like doing. If you want to be taken seriously in any argument, you need to learn to consider the subject from all angles, and to not give advice on something that you're not even exceptionally good at.
