You people definiately do not respect the great story that is Halo.
Who's the closest character to Cortana?
Who's the only character who even knows the Ark exists?

So , give it up for the Arbiter because he is going to be there saving the universe with Master Chief whether you want him to or not.

The Arbiter is now an important part of the story, whether you like it or not. Taking him out would leave a big hole. I personally think playing him showed a lot of how the Covenant work and added tons to the story.

Finally someone with some common sense. These are my sentiments exactly.

It's playing as him that's the problem, not having him in the story.

Exactly. The arbiter is now a main character and not playing as him will be like not playing as MC.

I say make his own separate Campaign that you unlock once you beat the main "Master Chief" one.

So you think his levels had too much Flood in them, big deal it's part of the game, and it's not like MC didn't have Flood in his levels because he did.

Obviously you can't blame the playing style, because the HUDs are the same, they use the same weapons, and Arbiter has a way better white button then MC.

Zerogreenchief is eh pretty cool guy, eh trolls people and doesn't afraid of anything.

honetsly the Arbitor lvls were more fun for me than MC and besides the Marines sucked as team mates but as teh Arbitor you could have Grunts Jackals Hunters and other elites as your team mates much more variety so much more fun

Why is everyone still complaining about the Arbiter. He is awesome. Halo wouldn't be the same if he wasn't in it. And about the two campaigns, i think that there should just be one. One that will be know as the best story in the history of video games.

Wrong. He's only been in one Halo game.

I never said that he was in both games, i just said that NOW he is a major part of the story.

No you said the not playing as the arbiter will be like not playing as MC. And he is not NOW a major part of the story... he WAS a major part of the story.

i too think that the MC is the only one for H3. all of the arbiter's levels were mazes and filled with flood.

Really? Uprising and The Great Journey have NO flood, and are wide open and straightforward.

Personally, I don't find much difference between the MC and Arbiter. Except that the Arbiter has cloak, which makes him actually BETTER than the MC. But that being said, I'd only want the Arbiter in a few levels. I agree that you should mainly be the Chief in the last game of the series/trilogy/saga.

iF you just have Teh Mc then your not only ruining Halo's great story but your turning it into just another Generic Sci fi game

oh boy lone soldier out to save the world sci-fi cliche #37

By adding the Arbitor you add so much depth to Halo's world. Tthe majority of the people who dont like him have no imagination what so ever. with just mc lets face it halo would just devolve into another low end Human vs Alien Sci fi game

But if you take his gameplay moments out of the game, you're losing those elements that you're talking about which were good about having him in the story. I mean when you pull out his campaign you lose that true sense of the civil war beginning. You lose information about the Covenant that we would never have seen otherwise.

He's an invaluable character, and i'm glad Bungie threw him in. Through his eyes you see that the Covenant aren't just religious maniacs bent on human destruction, but that they have these heretics and disputes within the alliance.

Yes we could've seen that within cut scenes or the Chief's campaign, but just seeing is no where near being a part of these things. And being a part of the civil war is somtehing only the Arbiter could provide.

And as for two separate campaigns...I don't really like the idea. Chronology would become a problem, which is why the Halo 2 style of switching back and forth would kind of makes more sense.

Exactly. With out the Arbiter, the story would not be as great as it is, and we would not know what is happening to the covenant. With out Arbiter, it would just be the MC killing covenant and saving humanity, but with Arbiter, it is much more than that.

You're almost impossibly wrong. For a start, if you think he is some magic ingredient which transforms Halo from a 'another low end Human vs Alien Sci fi game' to a great story all by himself you're mental. Even if he is so precious to the story that's no reason to play as him. Swapping main characters ruins the immersivity of the game and ruins the flow of the campaign, and no story should ever take precedence over gameplay, or you might as well just watch a film.

I think they shoulld definently have the Arbiter. MC and Arbiter campaigns being split would mess with the flow of the story line too.

But i like the covenant.

he is goin to be in H3 get used to it but the only thing i dont see is how is he goin to be involved in it cus he has no more story to follow
... wait a min....
theory...
i think H3 will start out with the arbiter and spark will tell him where the ark is then keyes will be like no way and then they try to get to earth and ... i have a long theory but i dont want to type it

The arbiter pretty much stopped some rebels found a key and killed a big gorilla while the chief helped defend earth, brought down a giant machine, killed a prophet, and so much more.

If the Arbiter hadn't intervened in the last part of the game, Tartarus would have activated the ring, and all sentient life in the galaxy would be dead....I'd say he played a pretty big role.

That's probably not a theory, but morethan likely fact (Think evolution). Luckily, unlike evolution, we get to see if we're right or not.

lol. good point. without the Arbiter, there would be no Halo3

great gameplay is poinltess w/o a story to back it up who cares if a game plays great if theres no pay off the its worthless and yes yes it would have had a very SHALLOW story if u removed the Covies POV it would just be about MC kicking alien ass and oh like that hasnt been done plenty of times.

And on a side not you seem to dissagree with almost every ones oppinion here, its the internet your input as well as mine and everyone elses is not valued much

YaY for Anonymity!!!
