We are determined that before the sun sets on this terrible struggle our flag will be recognized throughout the world as a symbol of freedom on the one hand and of overwhelming force on the other.

Under this image we can see what looks like an Assault Carrier, which are around 5 kilometers long. That being said it looks lkke both ships are very far away from one another.

How big would you say it is?

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Over 9000 kilometers. ;)

Judging by assuming the Assault Carrier is quite a ways from the Infinity, I approximate the length being about 80 kilometers, give or take 20.

That is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a while.

Assuming this ship was built while the war was raging, and they used Forerunner tech to assist in its design, they'd have to find a Fortress Ship, being the only ship large enough to model an 80km long ship with.

It's impossible to tell from that picture.

Genuinely, it cannot be done, you only have one point of reference.

If this was an actual picture taken by a camera it would be possible to work it out using the lens apeture diameter and that one point of ref. It isn't, so we can't do it.

There is no reference point for the distance between the two ships.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

I think 3-5 kilos is a comfortable assumption.

We should know better, because we are better.

1-3 kilometers is my guess. Humanity never really had any super-huge ships like the Covenant.

That ship in the background does not have the profile of an Assault Carrier. The tail is is too truncated, the front is too thin, and the neck is too thick. The bulbous sections at each side are also too far back.

Cave Johnson here, we're done!

PS: If you are reading this comment while imagining my voice, don't panic. That's just a side effect of the testing.

Not to mention that even if it was (which it isn't as far as I can tell), we don't have a good measure of how far it is away from the infinity. So comparing it size wise is kind of pointless, the infinity can be a large range of sizes if we compare it to the ship in the background.
