As it seems, Reach has hurt more than it has helped. Halo faithful, including myself will support a Halo game. But you have to admit, seeing Master Chief advance along with weaponry only to halt that and go back in time taking out what was loved in the other games is counter-productive. I'm pretty sure patience would wear thin waiting for a Halo 4 after H3 was released. That's a pretty long wait. But I'm thinking another off-set campaign like ODST could've worked better. Reach is just too weird of a game with characters that aren't memorable. Stat systems will always be the focal point. Reach has a great stat system but even the absence of number ranks hurts. When H4 comes out, people will forget about Reach but still remember CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3.
