I have always thought that the Halo 3 BR was well balanced. Didn't wreck vehicles, wasn't hitscan, took skill to use, etc..I think that too, I thought having to lead your shots didnt mess up the skill gap too much, it deterred it just enough to make the AR usable at close range and the AR attracted lesser skilled players.
Both idiots. hmm how though? a company needs to make money and the only way to do that is to attract a big range of the playerbase, not just the hyper-competetive. As much as I love competetive gameplay, the "noobs" and such increase the popularity and thereby the longevity of the game. The mistake Bungie made with Reach was that they dumbed it down beyond repair. The trick is to strike that delecate balance between making the game contain competetive value but also appeal to the casual playerbase because they increase profit that can then be used for research and development and DLC etc. etc.
None of that paragraph there was why I called you two idiots.
