no its legit, i used coordinates, set weapon timers the works.

If I'm purchasing a new game, I expect new things, not recycled gameplay, graphics, maps etc.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

A sequel should have the same general gameplay mechanics.

Look at what happened to Reach.

RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

If there was a cooldown between flips then it wouldn't be super fast flipping.

Perhaps I should clarify. When you initiate the "A + direction" action and the Banshee flips, I want the flipping animation to be fast like Reach's, not Halo 3/2's. However I want a cooldown in between flips so it doesn't look like you just injected cocaine into the Banshee's fuselage.

Okay.

They should also act like a boost and prevent the Banshee from firing it's weapons while flipping. They messed that up in Reach.

Because Halo is pretty much run it's course in general. This style of play only appeals to the core fanbase and nothing else. The generation that has grown up with Halo has started to move on. They either play different game like COD, BF or whatever, don't play game period, or they're dead.

Back in Halo's prime Halo was the only game you played because there was nothing else that compared. It was the only franchise (H2) that converted PC players to play on consoles, kept accurate stats, was highly competitive and was the best all around game.

Now a days the competition is just to great. There are so many other great games out there and people in general just play more different kinds of games. The diversity and competition is greater. Halo had it's time.

This is coming from a person who loves Halo in every way and likes what makes each installment different from each other. I'm a little sad Halo is going away, but I also understand how the generations change with games. I've seen many dominate franchise come and go over the years.

So more games being out excuses Bungie for messing up the core gameplay that brought fans to the game?

Stop making excuses and twisting what I said. You know exactly what I'm talking about.

You need to accept that Halo is going away and Halo 4 has a chance of not living up to your or other expectations. A lot of you are living in a nostalgia dream world. The old Halo days are never coming back.

I love Halo to death and it is one of my all time favorite franchises, but at least I can see reality here.

So now you are attacking me for taking what was your main point and pointing it out to you.

Okay.

I'm saying that it is possible for the gameplay of old to be brought back, but you are apparently dead set against Halo being fun again. I don't see why though.

lol. How am I attacking you? Are you comprehending what I'm writing. Stop taking everything so negatively. Jesus, not everyone on the forums is trying to start a flame war.

I am not dead set on Halo ever being fun again. I still play Halo and have lots of fun on Reach alone, but it still doesn't change my OPINION.

Is Halo 4 going to be good? Probably. Is it going to a game that you remember forever? Probably not. You know why? because Halo is something we have seen already.

One of the main reasons why Halo was so great when it started was because it was something we had never seen before. The movie Avatar is a perfect example of this scenario. Sure Avatar is the typical Pochihantas story, but the CGI and idea itself was something we had never seen, which is why it was so successful.

CE offered a new franchise and hero for games. Halo offered competitive online combat for the first time. Halo 3 was more of the same and the wow factor started to turn there.

there really isn't anything new to expect. I gonna love and play Halo 4 no doubt, but I'm not expecting any type of wow factor that the first two originally had.

I can see what you're saying there and RC he does have a point, but we do have to remember, 343i is now running the show, all Bungie did was show the human/covenant war, and now that's over.

343i may add an entirely new species, new weapons, vehicles, weapon and vehicle customisation and maybe space battles. That will draw in a huge crowd and maybe even have a PC version(highly doubt it though).

Bungie did so much with the series, we thought we had seen it all, but think about how much they didn't add: Destructible environments, Texture for maps, Tonnes of forge pieces, AI for multiplayer, Different types of the same weapons (multiple AR's and pistols) and many more.

To say that Halo is dead is like saying CoD is dead, they've been beating the same dead horse for about 8-10 years and they still have fans claiming its fresh and fun.

Halo just needs to add a few of the things on the list aswell as balancing things out, or to go in the opposite direction, I'd love to see 3 playable speicies in Halo 4, E.G Spartans, elites and brutes. That would add a whole new perspective to the game.

Nonsense. While I do agree this gaming generation has gotten stale, it's not because of everyone running out of ideas.

One way Halo 4 could revolutionize like CE and Halo 2 did would be to create a very accessible and robust map maker/editor, similar to Gmod or the Warcraft 3 map-maker tool. Console games are really lacking the foundations for a great modding community, and I think giving players choice in how to play their game like no other console game has done before can satisfy those who want Halo's classic feel as well as those who are looking for something new. It's the new "frontier" for console gaming, so to speak.
