Subject: Why are nades grossly overpowered?

I ma not complaining I suck I am complaining you suck becuase you can't win a game against a team without some strategy rather than just having fun with random mayhem. I'll stick with rumble oit.

RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

Let's make grenades more powerful.

But then we can't avoid them.

Put some lights on them then.

They're not. They just explode too fast and we're too slow.

Trying to think from a dev's point of view, they probably buffed nades to make armor abilities have a use.

  • 02.04.2012 4:41 PM PDT

Hi.

Is it the nades or is it the movement acceleration?

I wish we could somehow test Reach nades in a previous Halo environment and see how it'd play out.

  • 02.04.2012 4:42 PM PDT

Because Reach.

  • 02.04.2012 4:42 PM PDT

people who cant aim rely heavily on nades, its been like that since the beginning.

bungie listened to the community and i guess alot of people couldn't aim.

just my 2 cents.

Forget it man, and get with the countdown. Shake this square world and blast off for Kicksville.

Reach host ranking algorithm: (a*quit_percentage + b*isMexican + c*(1/KDR) + d*hasGuest) * 100
where a > b = d > c

So foreigners can betray you.

Boltshot = mini shotgun

I say it's because Reach's spartans are slow compared to other Halos. Combine that with short fuse times and you have an OP weapon.

It's probably a mixture of both. + the above post.

We're Spartan III's in Reach, while MC is a II.

Canon really shouldn't effect gameplay, but it does.

However, that's probably a good thing now, considering that canon will dictate better movement traits for H4.

I'm new to competitive Halo and Halo itself (Reach being my first video game ever actually). Message me if you want to play;

Reach: MLG, Arena, Doubles, BTB and customs.
Halo 3: Ranked MM and customs.

Also I have every Halo title and all of its DLC on the Xbox 360.

"Hey guyz, Bungie here! We made the grenades bigger and put some pretty light on em so you can see em better coming your way!"

*lowers speed and jump height*

*laughs maniacally while most players mistook the statement above for what they really meant*

Translation software after 9 months of work on the above statement= "Hey guyz, we're making you slow as hell and shortening all the fuses on nades so that everybody will use them because they are OP."

*maniacal laughter*

"They wanted to see grenades, oh they'll see them alright! They'll see millions of them headed their way once they spawn!!!!"

*maniacal laughter*

End translation.

If movement was based on canon, everything would be in semi-slo-mo and we'd be sprinting so fast collision damage would kick in and kill us immediately.

lol

But I meant in a sense that "Master Chief is a fast moving character" will most likely result in future games with MC having fast movement. It's not really "strict" realistic cannon but shallow game canon.

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

Because Halo 3 nades had a skill gap. Sage wasn't about to let that happen.

Grenades seem to be as strong in Reach as they are in any other game in the series.

It's not the damage. It's that they are less avoidable.

I just hate the stupid grenade poop thing people do when they die in a CQC fight. I wish I could avoid that. Other than that, I really don't have an issue with the grenades in Reach.

Because Reach is innately flawed?

Yup, that is definitely the answer to the OPs question.
