Reecey. One of halo's biggest fans. Played halo CE. Halo 2. Halo 3. Halo 3:ODST. Halo wars. and Halo Reach. My account for halo 3/odst was viReeceii, Don't play on it anymore, I forgotten my login for hotmail :(

Add me on XBL: Reecey94 for a game or two :)

Okay, so in the new Halo 4 trailer you see Master Chief exploring a new world. I've seen a lot of posts that say it could be the forerunners. I think it's the covenant, I mean I couldn't imagine playing Halo without fighting the Covenant, it just wouldn't feel like Halo. Also, watching Halo Legends I noticed in one of the scenes (The Duel) that the arbiter fights the brute leader, whilst watching this I noticed that the covenant where on a planet, not High Charity but an actual planet where they lived. Could this be the planet that Master Chief discovers?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Sigh...

The Covenant is finished, The Return and Glasslands confirm this, yet you don't need to read those to use your common sense because in Halo 3 you kill Truth, the leader of the Covenant and they don't appear again.

The Prophets fled somewhere, the client races disbanded because the only thing holding together their fragile order was fear of the Prophets.

That wasn't a Brute... -_-

Did you pay any attention to the episode at all? It was set on Sanghelios hundreds of years before the Covenant even discovered humanity. Had you paid any attention to the Halo 4 info we've been given, you'd know that the Legendary Planet is a Shield World.

The Covenant has largly disbanded but there are a few remnants. In Halo 4 we'll be facing a new foe, but whoever that is we are yet to know.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

If we fight one group of religious nut jobs I will not buy the game, that ship has sailed...

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

No Covenant, perhaps a few remnants however. The bulk of the game will be focused on assisting the Forerunners in killing the Flood, once and for all. There will probably be another race as well, probably the one from Terminal 5.

Living in the past is a luxury none
of us can afford. We must learn from
it, but we cannot live there. It is
impossible to plan for the now
the present is ever fleeting. The
future is where we must live the
future is what we must plan for.

I think you're on the right track. I'm still a little unsure how in depth our "alliance" as you have suggested will really go. They could just as well not really on our side, if any of them actually show up, which I don't think will be the case. The books have suggested that the forerunner manipulation of genetics and their ability to assign a geas to entire peoples might be the source of assistance in the coming trilogy. Also note that it is very likely that it is in fact the precursors themselves will be a primary foe, which is safe to say might not just be the flood. The flood seem like more of a precursor weapon so to speak.

"Halo! Its divine wind will rush through the stars, propelling all who are worthy along the path to salvation."

You don't pay close attention do you?
