Ya, it depends on your connection. I usually just download from the main site, but it may be the same server the game is downloading from.

Shouldn't take very long, the update files aren't much. What kind of connection do you have?

Oh, did you allow Halo to access the Internet? Most of the time Virus Scan programs don't let you do that unless you allow it manually.

Turn off Norton and go back to the Updates part in Halo. I had problems like this with Norton and Halo too. Part of the reason why I got McAfee :D

huh, that is really wierd. try updating from the updater program in the halo floder.

BTW, nice choice in the router, I use that one as well, its not the router.

Folder? Folder??? What folder???? OMGWTFBBQ?

My Computer>C-drive>Program Files>Microsoft Games>Halo

And in that folder, there should be a little icon somewhere that has a Legendary skull-and-shield icon. That's the manual Halo update, click that to manually download the update.

By turning Norton off and downloading from Microsoft's server, I HIGHLY doubt you would get a virus. It's only stupid to turn it off if you're downloading from Kazaa or Limewire.
