I am excited for Halo 3. Probably too excited. With that said, I am concerned too. I worry for Halo 3's multiplayer. Honestly, if Bungie doesn't make alot of changes, I won't play Halo 3 beyond campaign. I just got Ghost Recon pretty recently, and I think it could honestly put Halo 2's online multiplayer to shame. Here are some ideas that should be put into the multiplayer of Halo 3.
1. Selectable spawn points: You can choose where you spawn out of 3 points spread across about 100 yards (to scale of course). This really cuts down on the possiblity of spawn kililng.
2. More realism: Tell me how it is possible for a man wearing a full-body suit of armor can jump on top of a building and beat someone down. Please, if anyone can do that, i'd love to see a video. Also, tell me how his suit becomes so weak when his shield is gone. He can hardly take a few shots from an SMG when his shield is gone, and yet he's in a full metal suit.
3. Better stages: I like stages like Turf and Coagulation because they're realistic. I could see a battle taking place there. Maybe an enemy is hiding in the abandoned parts of a city or holding a base in a field. But some maps don't make sense like Warlock. It is very unrealistic, even for the future.
4. Fix the shotgun, please.
5. It would be pretty sweet to have a night stage, or at least one at like sunset.
6. Make it so that the host could be changed if the players lag more than like 5 times in a game. That cuts down on the standby. Also make it so the player dies once he goes out of the map boundaries. It's a shame when a game is so serious that players are taking advantage of bugs in the game to win. Is that really the spirit of having fun? I'm assuming you're gonna try to make this game mod proof.
I realize it's a fantasy game and has no base in realistic technology, so there are some things like plasma grenades that cause unrealistic events in the game, but there are many things that are truly absurd and need to be prevented. Still pumped for Halo 3, but I will NOT hesitate to destroy my copy if some things aren't changed.
