I hate the TU.

You know, what, I don't hate the entire TU. I only hate the bleedthrough. Everything else works-for me.
It fails because people can now shoot you with two bullets, punch, and you're dead.

I gave on reach long ago. I think it's time you did to.By the way just hope halo 4 isn't the massive flop that reach was, we shall see on the 29th feb.

Same. I used to get really excited when reading about the TU but quickly changed after I read about bleed through. Why was this necessary?

bleedthrough is good. default reach is garbage with the 2 hit kill. no matter how much shields the enemy had, it would always take one to strike the shields down, and then one more for the kill. thats broken.

I agree, it is broken. It should be 3 melee hits to kill someone.

wow halo reach is STILL BAD!!!

bleedthrough in reach. either have noobs sprinting around and double melee after being down in a fight OR have grenades and weapons unbalanced.

The Only FIX Halo REACH needed in the TU was AL.

I had played over 3,000 games of Reach before the Update, and the only 1 thing that really really annoyed me was AL.

Espcially if you had stuck them with a Sticky Grenade or Plasma Launcher. This has now been fixed.

Bloom is not perfect, but has always been in Halo, is just visible in REACH.

To make Bloom affective, their rquires to be no Random Spread within the recticle, see below video.

We are agreed on this. I like 85% bloom, but bleedthrough ruins it for me. The fuse times on grenades should have been lengthened, and the movement speed really needed to be changed.
Those three things would improve the game drastically IMO.

The thing I don't like this, as this is making more like Halo 3, Your not a Spartan 2.

Yes, I prefere Halo 3, but like REACH to be a little different, so when Halo 4 comes out, the increased running speed and jump height will be nore noted, and we will remember why we enjoyed playing as a Spartan 2.

If you guys want Reach to play like Halo 3 GO BACK AND PLAY HALO 3 Leave reach be and remove the TU. All Bungie tried to do is shake up a franchise, with different style of play and all you crusty pricks give them grief and 343i Kissed your asses. If you can't play the game they made and tested for ages go back to 2007 and Relish over how good halo 3 was at that time. Things change with Video games.

This would be like me saying that CODMW3 IS crap compared with original COD, or Half life one is WAY BETTER than HL2. Times change, code changes, strategies change. ADAPT or GTFO

Why? Some weapons such as the plasma rifle aren't really meant to kill. Making them capable of killing would make other weapons such as the AR redundant.


The Plasma Rifle had a unique feature in CE that made it different from the AR--Plasma Stun. As you fired upon your opponent, they would be slowed down if they were moving towards you. This changed the dynamic of the 'ar rush' because there was a weapon that countered it completely.

I recognize that having a PR and an AR that both kill in the same amount of time would be redundant. However, it's things like hitscan vs projectiles, ammunition vs battery, and stun vs no stun that set these weapons apart.

I don't understand why this dynamic was lost throughout the series.


Along with "get rid of" the steadily increasing delays between actions each new installment has seen since H2.
