Don't -blam!- with Kerser!

Here is just 1 of the many examples that prove that Destiny is a game. Go and read the job descriptions.
Considering it doesn't even mention the name of the game, I can't see how you'd draw that conclusion.

The first "trademark" Bungie (Or podophobia entertainment) made was the destiny symbol with the words destiny written on the top, it was also also codenamed "tiger" which was known before Bungie ever told us anything (So basically this is real because Jason called Destiny "Tiger" in the Vidoc) [Article]. So now that we know that Destiny is tied directly to that symbol, which is the project Bungie is working on, you can't honestly assume that they aren't making a game. The job description is referring to a game they are making, so unless they are working on Destiny and an un-announced game we haven't heard of, Destiny IS a game. We have already seen in-game renders of it. In the Vidoc we saw the words "Gameplay between landmarks". Also a quote from Hao Chen: "We are working on a brand new game".

This is the most basic knowledge out there. I could fill this whole page up with proof. But you get the point.

Posted by: SteroidKloudI never said I thought they weren't making a game. I'm well aware they've said they are. All I've asked for is evidence that "Destiny" is a game, and is the game they're working on.

As for that link, if you read the trademark information carefully, it says "computer game software". As I said in another topic, game engines and SDKs could fall into the category of "computer game software" as well.

...and what about Tiger?

"tiger" is the codename for Destiny. This has been known since may last year. Read the whole article. If that doesn't convince you, then have a search around for yourself. Why would they put the Destiny symbol at the end of showing "tiger" in the Vidoc. Because Destiny is the real name for it. "tiger" is the codename. The reason Jason referred to Destiny as "tiger" is because no developer reveals the name of their un-announced game title. You have to speak in code.

Another thing. Destiny is the game. It is not an engine or a piece of software. The engine Bungie is using is called "Gromark" or something (I can't remember). They trademarked that name and the name is also seen as the name of the software building the mountains and that shed thing.

Earlier this year a non-salaried employee let go by Bungie revealed that he had been working on a project titled Destiny with the codename "Tiger." This name has been the only one to pop up so far and now there's even more evidence to support that Destiny is definitively the title of Bungie's next IP.You're referring to this, correct? If yes, you do realise it was fake, right?

1. Prove that Destiny is a game and not an SDK, engine, etc...

2. The trademark for Destiny clearly indicates that it is some kind of software, which could very well include those things in point 1.

3. Where's the proof that the engine they're using is: A) called "Gromark"; and B) is the engine being used in their next game.

Also...The reason Jason referred to Destiny as "tiger" is because no developer reveals the name of their un-announced game title. You have to speak in code. Then if Destiny is the name of the game, the announcement for Destiny should exist, so where is it?

There's no reason to be obnoxiously inquisitive.

It's going to be a video game. Why would they work for years and years on something that isn't a video game? Why would they be hiring PS3 Developers for something that isn't a video game? Why would they be looking for a GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER if they weren't making a video GAME?
We're not saying it's not a game, we're just saying what the game wouldn't be called. And yes, we could be as wrong as you.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Destiny could be an engine type deal.
So you think that they've been working (from conception) since about 2008(ish) on a game engine, only to work several more years on a video game? At that rate they won't release anything until 2016! By that point I'll be a sophomore in college and Bungie will have faded into all but irrelevancy.

No one said that Bungie isn't working on a game at the same time. The game may or may not be using the possible new engine, etc.

It's actually a new interactive animated series. The whole of the gameplay is going from cutscene to another.

I'm pretty sure that Bungie is still a Game Developer, so I'm positive that they're working on a video game. I don't know anything about Destiny that I can back up with factual evidence though... I don't even know if Destiny is the name of whatever they're working on.

Hell, I'd play that. I'd play that in a heartbeat. Especially if those cutscenes look anything like the Halo Wars cutscenes.

Some people thought Areospace was a video game, look how that turned out.

Didact's Reprisal -
Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

I wish Bungie picked a label as absurd as monkeynuts so people would be more sure Destiny is just a codename.

This of course is based on about as much information that has been seen in nearly every other post.

They haven't been working on Aerospace since 2008. They didn't build a terrain-making-program for Aerospace. There was never a map riddle with possible plot points and places of interest for Aerospace. They didn't trademark 5 different strange symbols along with names for each for Aerospace.

Aerospace had nothing going for it as far as being a video game. People were just guessing.

Over in the Universe, we're wondering if Bungie might be giving us the tools to help their conquest of literal world domination.

(It would probably help to read the OPs as well)

All this "evidence" is false. There is substantial proof that Bungie's next game is one of those Japanese anime dating sim game where some really inappropriate stuff happens to cartoon girls you date.

$.50 in store credit.

Well we know Bungie is a game company that will be making a game in the future, and in the ViDoc there were some images that looked like a game in progress, so it seems fairly safe to assume their current project is their next game, although i don't think it's confirmed.
