okay, so you know about the speculations and rumors and hell even the posted Halo 3 menus screens. Now the menu screens have been instantly blocked, deleted, why? why would bungie be scared i mean for they care it could be some guy who is skilled and creating pics. and my theory of what the dome was, it got blocked instantaneously. why? it - to the best of my knowledge wasnt being repeated, so i created one but in the time i was making someone else could have made it and bungie could have 'mistakingly' blocked it. but why? i was gettin onto something, my theory seems elusive but you should check it out

Maybe Bungie does not want rumors spread about Halo 3 before it releases? *Check sticky topics for more info*

If it was locked, then why did you create a new thread for it?

Your theory is kinda sloppy, but true about the Ark being an engine for Earth, but many theories like that have been posted here before.

"Oh my God, Forerunner buddies! I just had the best idea ever!"
"What is it?"
"Let's put some ancient DNA samples of ourselves on a remote, yet life-sustaning planet, and bury engines under them. Once we've evolved into intelligent beings again, we'll light up a buried engine and blow the planet away from the Sun that gives it light into darkness, cold, and death. Either that or we can push it into the Sun!"
"Awesome! Let's do it!"

1. Moderators (most of them), do not work for Bungie, and are regular people like you or me, they don't have any inside information, so they wouldn't know (officially) whether screen shots are fake or not.

2. It's common sense that they are fake.

3. See number 2 for why the locked the threads.

Gruntaloob is completely correct. And it couldn't be a Halo wrapped around Earth because that hole is rather shallow, it would be easily visible in the oceans, the humans would've discovered it by now.

Listen the reason that Bungie blocked these things is simple. For your understanding i will call it the Halo 2 Effect. Halo 2 was a great game, no doubt. But as a result of such posts and fakes, the game seemed dissapointing to some ppl who had expected 2 much.

Game development companies, their publishers and affiliated companies are not Fort Knox. There are often FTP servers or other internet access points containing WAY too much informtion than I feel is safe to link in any way to the web, but without them, game development would be so painfully slow, a game like Halo 3 (just an example) could take an extra year to churn out.

FTPs can be hacked. There is a twit in the Philipenes who I would like to throttle for ruining my five year wedding anniversary doing just that... Disgruntled or stupid ex and/or current staff may also do stupid things - i.e. leak to the public.

In short, some of that stuff may be real, even though the majority of it is usually fake. This requires equal and indiscriminatory application of The DeleteRod and The BanStick, else you risk your much more than having your more industrious fans find spoilers they shouldn't. You could lose your whole game, or worse, it's engine and source code. There is hard work, big money and IP security at risk, so give the mods a break.

The forum rules are "Do not link to, talk about, or show leaked content or something that is supposudly leaked content" (give or take exactness)

It basically means that: Topics talking about leaked things, whether they're really from the game or claiming to be from the game, are banned from the forum. It's like the 9/11 conspiracy..
"Gasp, they won't show us the black boxes because the government did it!"
or the one about the New Mexico "UFO" crash..
"They're not releasing information, so it must be a coverup for an alien landing!"

Comon, you people..
