So what do you think.

I would say yes, because of two main factors

One -Halo 2 was a huge blockbuster title, and not only that it was a really good game

Two -The movie is coming out next year, by the time people get wind of the movie they will know of the game and jump on the bandwagon.

Eh?

Yeah, and seeing as how the first two games were so popular, and then people who didn't even know about halo 1 got introduced to halo 2 so then they went out and bought halo1&2. The same thing will happen with halo 3, and also seeing as how it is the last game in the series, more people will want to get it as well.

That's a good question actually.

Halo 3 will definately be a system seller for a lot of people, but Halo 2 did hit after the XBox had dropped in price quite a bit. I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of bundle pack. With the PS3 running $500 and $600 for each model, a 360 with a copy of Halo 3 for, let's say $360, it'd be incredibly hard for anyone to resist going for it. Start saving!

I think in units shipped no, in gross sales dollars yes.

I purchased a second copy of Halo2 when I got my 360. Since I had my original Xbox, when my friend comes over I never have to split screen again! We just both go on Xbox live on the original xbox and 360, or system link if we want to avoid annoying invites or forgetting to close the server and 14 people jump into your 1 on 1 game.

My point is that I now own two copies of Halo2. I'm sure all of us know people that have had to replace their Halo or Halo2 game disc.

Then we've got to consider the people that will be learning of Halo for the first time ( I know, I know, but they DO exist). They'll want the back story and will likely pick up Halo and Halo2 and play them on their shiny new 360.

For those reasons I believe that Halo2 will probably remain the best selling of the Halo games.

( the same logic could be used to argue that Halo would sell more than Halo2, but it doesn't have Xbox live support which is a factor).

I will say this, do not be suprised to see the price drop of the 360 to be right below the price you listed. And thats the premium too. We are not stupid when we look at the price of the PS3, We see the advantage we have over them, and are going to keep it, with a price drop, and the biggest game possiably ever coming to the 360 the PS3 will have a very hard time keeping up.
