I loved Halo 2's campaign, and expecially loved the story. It was superb, in every way, although to short. Now, so as not to appear a mindless fanboy, I back that up by saying that Halo2's plot was an extension of Halo:CE's, just told on a larger, more encompassing fabric. I loved the view we saw of the Covenant side of the war, the intergalactic romps, and the speed at which it unfolded. As for gameplay, I foudn the level design eliminated the redunancy that was prevelant in Halo:CE's maps, and the weapons were more balanced and fun. AI was improved. In short, I think it exceeded it's predeccor in every way.
No, Bungie does not have to make up for anthying. They owe us nothing, even if Halo 2 stunk and was unplayable, they still owe us nothing. As a matter of principle, I find it very egotistical that you might feel compelled to claim a company owes you something, even though you have done nothing for them, and probably never will. And no, buying their product doesn't count. That was a choice you made, and you did it so you could enjoy something, not because you wanted to help the company. It's always that way with consumers and producers, a simple fact of life. It might not be pleasent, but Bungie would have every right to not even make Halo 3, let alone make it acording to how you want it.
