Subject: Arena - How does it work?

I googled it, and I got a mix of answers, some saying division placement is based on win/loss, kill/death, or rating, or a combination of the three. So what is it...?

Also, if I get placed in the bronze division do I have to wait to the next season to move to a higher division, or can I move divisions within the same season?

Speaking of bronze division, why was I placed in the bronze division despite the fact that I have seen many people in higher divisions than me but with worse kill/death ratios, worse win/loss ratios, and worse daily ratings? Does everyone start low then gradually move up/down to their correct skill level? I have over a 2.00 for both k/d and w/l, and my ratings average in the 1500s and 1600s. About 26 arena games played total as of writing this.

and finally, I would like a good team, so if you have stats similar to mine check out my thread in the Classifieds or just add me. GT: Chayes

Division placement is based on who you win/lose to. Obviously beating people in a higher placement will help boost you up, for example.

Forget it man, and get with the countdown. Shake this square world and blast off for Kicksville.

It isn't our shiznit anymore.

1) It's W/L only.

2) You can move up or down constantly (but divisions only get revised once daily IIRC).

3) 26 games really isn't enough, it takes about 50 games total in order for the system to narrow down your correct skill level. Ratings don't mean anything since W/L is only taken into account, btw. Along with W/L it also matters who you beat/get beat by. Winning a few games against Onyx players will change your skill level faster than winning dozens of games against iron players. Saying you have a 2.0 W/L really doesn't reveal much about a player's Trueskill (the variable that determines your division).

4) I suck.
