Why was FireFight ignored when it came to the Title Update(TU)? We still have to endure the horrible, game breaking full bloom effect while combating the Covenant horde. This is inexcusable. Someone dropped the ball on this one, and I'm going to go ahead and blame both Bungie and 343i.

The TU could have (and still can) greatly improved the FireFight experience.

BLOOM

I've been blatantly robbed of an uncountable amount of Killtaculars and above due to the horrendous bloom factor. These Grunts must die and I want them dead immediately! Due to the bloom, we don't get the immediate headshot pop that the players deserve. We have to wait for the reset. Do you know how frustrating it is to not get the insta-kill with the Grunt headshot when you know you deserved to have it only to have these inferior fighters take down my whole overshield?! The same can be said about Elites. Once their shield pops I have to wait for the bloom to reset, and if I don't, I miss the shot. This is the game's fault and I, no, WE want it fixed.

ARMOR LOCK

No pro FireFighters use armor lock so any changes from the TU would go unnoticed. Only the BK, scrubhard artificial intelligence use the armor lock ability. These Brutes are exploiting a FireFight flaw. They don't even have armor! They aren't worthy of armor since they are inferior to me and my pro FireFight skills. Please, whoever is in charge, fix this.


CAMO

Again, only the garbage, tryhard BKs use this armor ability. The pro FireFight community never touches camouflage. However, the trashy Elites use this ability and it's broken. They use it to disguise themselves and their location, then use it to sneak up on you and get the easy kill. This is highly flawed and not an ingredient of a true Halo FireFight game.


BLEED THROUGH

This should be implemented immediately! It could add to the difficulty for myself and other pro FireFighters, and at the same time make it easier for me to kill my opponents; the wretched Covenant!

To conclude: These bastard Covenant can't hold a candle to our blue flame and we want our experience catered exactly how we'd like.

If there is anything I missed, as far as TU changes, feel free to post them and discuss! Also, do you think TU would make FireFight more enjoyable?

FF would actually be really fun with the TU. Especially bleed through enabled.

As much as i like TU settings, the bloom is a necessary factor in firefight. Its not a competitive gametype in any real sense, so i feel timing the bloom in order to get killtacs & above comes w/ the territory.

Not competitive? I'm trying to beat the high scores on my friend list and also against the other people in the game. That adds a competitive edge. How is bloom necessary in FireFight but not in multiplayer?

Just use the Rocket Luncher with Jetpack. That's how I get all my highscores.


Commendations. Just like multiplayer, FireFight has commendations. These are goals players can achieve and be rewarded for. I understand the "reward" is just cR but it's still something. My 'Get Loud' has been maxed for a long time. It gets boring jetpacking around and launching rockets. I like to use the Plasma Pistol.

I like to play Reach for fun. I hate MLG, campers, armor lock, and team killers because they ruin that fun. Deal with it.

Perceived competitive edge does not a competitive game make. Its listed under co-op, and you fight npc's. Its essentially campaign, but instead of a storyline, there are only enemies.

I find high scores are not that hard to come by with the settings the way they are anyways.

Be that as it may, i would be open to trying 85% and ZB variations of firefight. it would be easy mode.

TU Should be applied cross the board. There's a reason it's called a TITLE update. Because it changes the CORE mechanics for the entirety of the game.

Real men use Needler and Plasma Pistol. Real men are pro.
