Nice way to try and make this thread belong in this forum.

A search function would be nice, but I'm not sure it would make a difference. The level of maturity in here is astonishing... exidenced by the post above mine.

I would like a "see all/recent posts by this user" function.

Unfortunately, I really doubt it wil happen. When Halo 2 was announced this forum was asking that they add a search function too...as you can see, it didn't happen. What you are asking is nothing new.

Each time someone stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. That hope is three little numbers: 1 - 1 - 7.

There is hope in us all. We gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face. We must do the thing which we think we cannot do; stand with the Master Chief and Finish this Fight!

New Forum for Halo 3 huh? Well I fail to see the irony of already being in a Halo 3 forum and start a topic that says a New Forum for Halo 3.

Am I missing something here or is it the cheese that I ate?

When Halo 3 launches it would be great if the Forum interface would change. For instance I want to be able to find my posts without having to go through all the pages. This way discussions are kept alive longer and you would get answers to your questions faster. A search function would be nice, that might stop people starting the same discussions over and over again. Anyone else have good ideas for a new Halo 3 forum?

Thats the exact thing I was thinking. I can't find any of my posts, and I'll most likely lose this one in the next hour or two considering how fast people come up with new topics. If anyone from Bungie is reading this we need some sort of search engine that Roberts talking about. We would be able to type the name in of some member or topic that we need and it would list all of the topics and/or names that we were looking for. I hope this forum gets someones attention.

ps- Conan is also correct. Im surpised some people in these forums know how to read. Unfortunately they do.

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

Soon™.

The problem with a search function is the sheer volume of threads in the forums. Making a search function itself probably isn't too difficult, but making a search function to sift through thousands of threads and search for keywords that link to a topic is no doubt much harder.

As for a "My Threads" search function, I really see no point to having it. If you know the title, you can probably just search for it, or you can bookmark it.
