Matt - Like a G Pix, like a, like a G Pix....

(Before you read this please understand that I am not joking. This is 100% percent real and not a joke, at all.)

I'm only 14. Yes, I know this sounds crazy coming from someone of this age. Also, with the fact that I'm a "fanboy" it makes it even worse. But, if I could work at Bungie I would enjoy being a writer, since the job application is currently available. Now, I will show you some of my own work that I have created and put in my own words(These are movie reviews, I know, but it's something, right?).

A movie review for the movie "Real Steel"

****Plot/Storyline****

In 2020, humans have been replaced by robots in boxing. Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) is a former boxer who attempts to get money in illegal boxing matches between robots to pay his debts to loan sharks. During a fight, Charlie's robot, Ambush, is destroyed by Black Thunder, a bull belonging to Ricky (Kevin Durand). Having made a bet that Ambush would win, Charlie now owes Ricky $20,000, which he doesn't pay before leaving.

While leaving, Charlie is informed that a family member had died, and he has to attend a meeting to decide the fate of his 11-year-old son Max (Dakota Goyo). Max's aunt, Debra (Hope Davis) and uncle Marvin (James Rebhorn), want full custody, and Charlie gives it to them in exchange for for a price from Marvin, $50,000 of in advance, on the condition that Charlie takes care of Max for three months, while Marvin and Debra are away on a second honeymoon.

My rating for the Plot/Storyline is 9/10, although I did not explain it fully you will know why I give it this rating when you see the movie.

****Action/Thrill****

Now, with recent movies that have come out, like Apollo 18 for example, (not enough alien spiders), they don't always have good story, action, or thrill. It's just a remake of Paranormal Activity but on the moon. Anyways, back to the movie Real Steel. This had amazing CGI and an amazing thrill to it every single battle. Although it may be slow, (about 10-15 minutes of the whole movie was slow, if that.) there was a lot of action that took place in this movie that makes it a very great movie. Personally, it's one of the best movies I ever seen. It's even better than Dark of The Moon! (DOTM really wasn't all that great, but Real Steel was an awesome movie.) So, Action/Thrill rating is 9(and 1/2)/10.

****Overall Rating****

With all the movies that came out this year, Real Steel has got to be the best movie of the year. I don't care who you are, I would recommend this movie to anybody. It's action packed with a great storyline and a great plot. And what makes it better? Boxing robots. If you like to watch boxing and you like robots this is the movie for you. Pixel's rating: 9(1/2)/10. Two thumbs up everybody, you need to see this movie as soon as you can!

Please give me honest opinions. Thanks everyone!

You can write well for most 14 year old kids out there. But you're 14. Doesn't matter even if you were 18. Being a writer isn't easy. Especially at Bungie where you need industry experience and talent. They probably require a College degree too or at least a high-school diploma.

You can still be a good writer but it takes hard work. Read the previous mail sack. Dave Mongan's advice is good advice.

So, Death or Bungie?

You're 14. You have set your hopes higher than Mount Everest.

Key

You need credentials. And no matter how good you are at 14, you're not good enough to compete with adults.

Don't get me wrong, you're pretty good.

You're 14. You have set your hopes higher than Mount Everest.

With that high hopes he will achieve greatness.

OT: It will take time, i have thought up of some really amazing stories in my mind, literally mind boggling, biggest problem can not write it and low interest, will get started and then leave and never look at it again.

I'm thankful for your thoughts, but I wasn't expecting to get a job just now. I just wanted to share my thoughts with people and ask them what they thought of my writing. I don't want this thread to come out as "spam" but sadly, it seems that way.....

Thank you Risay_117, and I wish you the best of luck with your writing.

And Septagon7th, like I had said my friend, I just wanted people to know that I wanted to be a part of things here at Bungie.net. I don't want a job right off the bat, no, but I'd like to be helping where I can.

Before you even consider working for Bungie, you might want to get at least a high school diploma (if not a college degree).

Well of course! Why wouldn't I? But in all means, no offense but, I just wanted to show people what I can do, kind Sir.

You could be a good writer right now, but this sort of decision will shape the course of your entire life; and a life without even a high school education will fatally cripple your career and everyday life.

Right now, I suggest you go through normal school and try to get yourself into all the advanced/honors/what-have-you classes you can so as to get as great a head start as possible.

Would you rather me switch it with my "Three Musketeers" review, kind Sir? It isn't that hard. :)

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

Read the description and qualifications under the "Writer" position in the Career Opportunities section of the site.

[EDIT]:
Take special note of the second line under the "Required Skills" section.

I dont think writing some reviews count as being a good writer. Why dont you write a Halo fan fiction book and publish it or something.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

For 14 you have some very good writing skill. Just a tip - since I love to write too - get into punctuation; it'll help with conveying emotions and structuring a sentence almost as if you're really talking. I admit it's confusing at first, but once you get it - you got it. Also, keep your eyes focused on loving writing; nothing's worse than jaded writing.

I really wish I could apply, but I lost all of my "star" story scripts and outlines when my computer last crashed. I suppose I should get to work....

You guys are giving him false information, he doesn't need to go to a University or have a Degree (you do need a diploma though, I'm sure), he needs to read their listings and get in contact with someone to set up an interview WHEN HE'S OLD ENOUGH.

- Find a job after graduating to gain experience
- Apply to Bungie

It may sound like 4 simple steps, but it requires a lot of work and determination.

Thank you for that link, I have read everything on the page you are showing me. But, if you'd like to read some of my above comments, then maybe, just maybe, you'll understand that I am, in fact, going to wait until I'm older. Besides, I like where I'm at right now.

Thank you for the help my friend, but I don't really want to read the same thing over and over again, thank you though.

And everyone else, thank you for the kind words and advice, but I think we should lock this thread so that the Mods don't have to worry about this getting out of hand.

If you would be so kind Moderators. :)

Anyone can write a movie review. Well not anyone, but it's only opinion. A school essay or an original stroy would better guage your level for what you are trying to display. I'm not saying your review was in any way a bad one, I enjoyed it. All I'm saying is that Bungie wouldn't be interested in the New York Time's own movie reviewers if he or she had no other writing credentials.

Keep pursuing you goal, when and if you achieve it, the taste will be much sweeter. Time is something you have alot of; you are only 14.
