Subject: Question about warning

V: I can assure you I mean you no harm.
Evey Hammond: Who are you?
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what and what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey Hammond: Well I can see that.
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.
Alas, so many quotes, so little room in the signature box.

So yesterday, for the first time, I got a message from disembodied soul telling me that I had received a warning for a thread I had created. I was warned that my thread did not encourage discussion, but I had asked a question that required more than a one word response. Can someone explain why I might have received a warning?

Also, can I request an investigation for a warning? I know it's not a big deal, so it's okay if I can't.

My original post for reference:
No one really ever allows anyone to brag on the internet, but hey, -blam!- the rules. So, what are you proud enough to brag about (besides your dick b/c we all know it's small even though you say otherwise)?

Also, a link to the thread:

PM the mod that sent you that.
This.

Although, IMO it could be something to do with that last line, it seems people would be more inclined to reply to that rather than the actual topic.

Yeah you can. PM the Ninja who Warned you, if that doesn't work or you don't agree PM a Master Forum Ninja like Duardo or x Foman123 x.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

You should send the moderator who sent you the warning a message about this instead. Do you know who warned you? Is the username of the moderator from that situation in your recent ban/warning history?

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

So you want to appeal a forum ban?

Yes and no. You see, it's only a warning. That's part of my question. Can I appeal a warning?

In response to others, in hind-sight, I realize that the last line was immature, but I figured someone was bound to try and brag about it.

I'm not sure if warnings are able to be appealed or not.

You'd need to PM a master forum moderator about it.

You know where they say something to the effect of "if it's less than se7en days then don't appeal unless it is a full on miscarriage of justice" - unless you got a warning for something 111% innocuous (which your thread wasn't), then appealing it will be out of the question. I should imagine.

I should imagine that in almost all circumstances appealing a warning would be out of the question, but I'm being generous because of the (slim) chance of a mod going rogue.
