Many, if not most human cultures have myths about visitors from another world, sky gods, or lost civilizations with technology that seemed like magic. (Insert Arthur C. Clarke quote.) Any idea like that is hardly original. Myths like that are what gives rise to the ancient astronaut theory. (Did aliens build the pyramids? Or are we just ashamed to admit that Egyptians understood stonework and geometry better?)
If anything bugs me though it's the increasing similarities between Halo and Stargate. Coincidence I'm sure, but they're both based around rings created by our ancient ancestors.
Yes , But who , if not what, brought about these myths...
I agree that most cultures do infact have these myths .
It is believed that cilvilazation began in one central point, and from there human beings expanded across the globe bringing with them the same basic principles and ideas.
Now , wouldnt it be plausible to think that maybe some of these myths could be rooted in some truth.
maybe , what if , early human beings did infact come into contact with these ancient astronaunts.
Early humans may have very well mistaken these people to be Gods and sparked what we now know as religion. Stories about these "GOds" would have then been passed down from generation to generation till it would be finally have been writtin down, maybe alil distorted and interpreted differently as it was passed on through the ages, where by then all oringinal knowledge of these so-called "gods" would have been lost , and now only exist as distorted myths of the original stories.
Its far-fetched but it could be possible...
Early conquistadores where easily considered gods when they first arrived to modern day mexico by the Mayans.
