Sometimes starting back from square one does good...

http://catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

I have been a Bungie.net member for years, and that was under many different usernames. Well, I will be honest with you fellow members, I mostly left those accounts because of the "junk" which was in them.

By "junk" I mean being young and stupid, few posts being in "Engrish" or other posts being disinterring or unnecessary, and of course none account that I own has been warned or banned. (To my knowledge) I made this account back in 2010 and I was a heavy poster on the Reach forums.

Well this is 2012 and eventually Bungie will announce its next franchise. Do you think I should make a new account and start over and hopefully invest into a more interesting and fascinating Bungie.net experience?

I want to build an identity in a better way. I am not planning to make another account after the next one, since I trust myself that I can invest on the said account in better ways than before.

Note: I was not sure whether this belongs to the Flood or not, but my guess is that it belongs to the seventh column because it is mostly about building my own member identity and generally falls into the Bungie.net community subject. (Who knows, this might help others too?)

Well I did not say that I would forget about my past experiences, and that is why I mostly want to start a new; to start again with all my past experience to improve my identity and generally my experience within the community.

No, you should hold your memories close, remember that your mistakes are permanent and cannot simply be deleted.

Your choice.

Nope! Be a man and stick to your mistake! Learn from your own mistake and understand why. Not only that, but you can review over your post in the past and remember the good old days of Halo series era, where players would constantly ask for Recon armor. On top of that, if you create new accounts over and over, people would not be able to recognize who you originally are, and you would spam the total population count system on bungie.net.

I think that's dumb as balls, but you do what you feel like.

Well I am sticking to my mistake and the number of accounts I have made is not high, and my early years were not about Recon, it was before that. I can always review old posts regardless on the account I am using, the nostalgia does not leave me.

What about getting promotion in the title system? Look at me, I took me roughly 3-4 years to be a Mythic. Don't you want to be a mythic?

Honestly, I could easily login into an old account and obtain the title within a few mere months of regular posting, but it would not feel right.

You should use your past as a way to see how much you have improved and be like "Yeah, I am awesome now!"

After throughout thinking and various information from a widespread of groups and users, I decided that it is not the best solution to start anew under my circumstances, therefore I am happy to say that I will stay with this account.
