Subject: Do you judge users by their avatar?

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I never judge anyone by their avatar or anything else besides the way they post.

If I have, I've never noticed myself doing it.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

I feel like I should clarify what I've previously stated on this topic. It's not so much that I judge people on what avatar they use, but rather that I recognize certain avatars as belonging to certain people which then leads me to connect my impressions of said person with that of the avatar, and the two become one.

I don't think I really judge people for using certain avatars, although some do make me laugh.

"That's about all that can be said for plots, which anyway are just one thing after another, a what and a what and a what.

Now try how and why."

There are some coup color schemes that the graphic designer in me wants to complain about, but considering that the Greeks and Romans developed various schools of philosophical thought that I have great admiration for with little to no knowledge of color theory, the content of the post is far more important.

I don't really care what "avatar" people have. It's their choice.

So does this mean I can do the PM version of drunk dialing you when I'm lonely? Seriously though thanks, I already enjoy this group a lot so I'm planning on staying.

Oh god yes.
Er, I mean, yes sure. They certainly give an interesting look into a person ^.^;

Most of the time no, unless they have a really offensive or weird coup (most don't) I don't judge until they post. For the non coups I just don't judge at all.

If someone is using the default avatar I tend to think they are new to the site, but other than that, no.
