It's only the Halo stats that are being stopped. Nothing else.

Not talking about March 31st. Talking about when Bungie updates the website.

Funny....I don't remember them saying when they are going to do that....care to tell us?

Why does it matter? Why does it effect you at all? What reason do you have to delete someone's idle account or group?

I was hoping for a more amusing topic matter when I clicked on this thread. I was ready to propose that in the case of a Zombie Uprising on Bungie.net we should all hide in the DO NOT JOIN THIS GROUP group and pray that the Zombies have enough brains to follow instructions...

...I imagine that yes, the account deletion script will be turned back on and we'll see a lot of inactive accounts get deleted.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

That doesn't give any details what-so-ever about the new update or when it goes live.

Does it matter? Why does it matter when it goes live? It means the update is bound to happen soon if you read it. Now back to my original question, whenever it DOES update can we please have all the non active accounts and groups deleted?

Seems pointless to keep them around, just wasted space.

Well I asked when...and you provided NO information concerning my question...

Also, the point of my question was to show just how unnessasary it is to ask this type of question. Lets list shall we?

1.) we have no idea when its going to happen, so this is a little premature.

2.) What difference does it make it their left? how does that effect you?

3.) Why would they delete them? some are inactive purely until the new IP comes out. Some are inactive for good reason....should they delete Marty's account?

Now you understand why your not getting any responses to your question.

Oh hey there

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

I don't want old groups to be deleted. There are a lot of very interesting things that have accumulated in a few groups that I belong to that I wouldn't want gone.

Personal preference. Why do titles matter? Why even have titles? Why try to form a community? Why try to interact with the community? Why can we create polls?

It doesn't matter why.
That's irrelevant. Nice try.

Titles affect everybody all the time. Idle accounts and groups affect literally nobody... ever.

...can all the inactive accounts that haven't been signed in for over a year+ be deleted?

This already happens. I'm not sure how long until they become deleted, but get deleted automatically. Technically, MR DROZ is my alt. I had another account before this. It's long gone now.

lol - you heard it here first. Title don't affect anyone. They're simply just silly hats for entertainment.

Idle accounts and groups affect my load time. The affect me trying to create a new group that uses the name and have a different meaning than there was 7 years ago. They're an eyesore.

1. I don't give a -blam!- if they're just a hat. They still affect you as they appear next to your username. I didn't say they were important, I said they affect you. Learn to read.

2. Your load time is not going to be dramatically decreased because we delete a few of the oldest and the most inactive groups. And going back to deleting any "absent member" or slightly inactive group would be terrible. Lots of people lost their accounts because of that "feature" of the site.

3. They're not an eyesoar if you don't search for them. You can't see them if you don't search for them. Oh my god do you realize what you're saying?

It was disabled back in 2011.

Oh!
This was during my break from Bnet. My bad. Thanks for the update, though. Learning new stuff every day lol.

So what is the benefit of keeping old useless account and groups around?
I shouldn't have to argue for them to be kept. You're the one that wants to rock the boat.

Explain why it's so important to get rid of them for you personally.
