Chapter

Narwhallace Smithington: Gone, but not forgotten. Never approve of anything lil guy. <3
Furious George: The new -blam!-

Bad idea. I will debate your use of the term troll because you're using it incorrectly. If someone is bypassing the profanity filter, then they're breaking another rule. If someone has a "questionable" title, then it really isn't obvious is it?

Hell, maybe we should start banning people who overuse the term "troll" and slap that label on anyone they feel like labeling with it. I mean, that is misleading, isn't it? I'm not being serious, of course.

I already warn people for posting replies to obvious forum disruptions (which I will specify in the warning message) and ban people who have been warned for it before, which is what a lot of people already (incorrectly) label as carpet banning. :P

Some of the troll threads are the best stuff to come out of the Flood, in my opinion.

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

I think the OP is seeing a problem that doesn't exist.

Problems exist in the forums, but a forum's culture isn't really one of them. And censoring/banning on a mass scale is certainly not an answer, even if this "Flood problem" actually existed (which it really doesn't).

Studies show that men think about sex every 7 seconds. I do my best to eat hotdogs in under 6, just so things don't get weird.

Please allow me to introduce Myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

I respectfully disagree. At times the, (if troll isn't the right word then what is) immature people are unbearable. Its like trying to have a conversation in a rowdy bar. But if no one else sees a problem but me, it must be me. I am man enough to accept that.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

Cleaning up the Flood is like peace in the Middle East. Everybody has a plan, none of them will work.

What about subcultures?

OMG
Master Chief w/o his Helmet!

Stosh <3's me vicariously... at least someone does...

I'm part of the flood counter-culture. Haven't heard of us? Probably because we don't post anything; that'd be too mainstream.

  • 02.08.2012 6:07 PM PDT

That sounds like a personal issue.

Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

I have a suggestion: The Flood is fine.

I second that.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

The Flood is a popular, OFF-TOPIC forum. I Rather enjoy it and a strike on it would not be very ethical or fun for the Flood users.

OP, we as the Community forum are being pampered right now for whatever reason. Don't ask questions. If it doesn't disturb us, who cares?

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Quick two-sentence history lesson: We have done this before. It had zero effect whatsoever.

Also, users should read the rules, being new is no excuse.
The above statement is false.

As a new member, you have no idea HOW the rules are interpreted. Absolutely everything you can get banned and/or warned for is not and never will be listed in the Forum Rules.

To understand something like the Forum Rules on a ideological level and not just a literal level requires the new user to experience the forums for a while and witness situations of forum moderation so that they may establish (mentally) what they believe to be "Forum Rule precedent".

The following statement is confirmed.

Intolerance is the highest level of stupidity and inbred thinking.

Why do people insist on constantly thinking the Flood has a problem? It's a cesspool. It always has been, and always will be. There is no problem!

Yes, it's not the same cesspool as a few years ago, but it's still the Flood. Hell, this forums has problems that are just as bad, and this is the supposed forum Bungie and the mods hang out in most (note: supposed).

People need to stop making problems where there aren't any. If you really don't like what goes on in a specific forum, then just don't go there. Carpet bans on confuse, and upset individuals. Nothing else. (Though it is funny when a bunch of Mythics get hit with one. The fallout is amazing.)

Really, I think people need to stop going around trying to fix things through complaining, and instead go through the forums and fix it by actually setting and example for others.

It did have an effect, it pissed me off when I got banned for small things.

I agree with the OP. And I also think banning disruptive posters should include all of this unnecessary quoting of different colored text.

Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

But Charlie, the both of us were banned for replying to that spam thread last year!

Join Halo Haven! (Group Leader: A 3 Legged Goat)

(To discuss Halo 4.)

Bungie just activate the Halo Array and get it over with.

At the moment, the Flood is not spreading...
