Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

If a user is being extremely disruptive in a group, will the moderators ever take action against them on the mains for what they did in the groups?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

The Webteam deals with THOSE people.

The only time people in groups get punished is if they lead huge trolling attacks.

Unless it was realistic threatening and the mod was there to see it, no. Even then it would be unlikely.

The creator of the group has mod powers for their group to deal with people themselves. If somebody is being extremely disruptive, a mod or admin of the group can remove them.

(as is my understanding)

As far as I know, moderators only have powers over the mains. Groups will primarily have to moderate their own. If things get out of hand, administrators, like Achronos, can come into play at seemingly every corner of Bungie.net.

That's a negative Ghost Rider...the WebTeam will only interfere if there's a significant safety risk...otherwise the group admins have all the tools needed to deal with such individuals.

I am getting confused. I am thinking forum mods are getting involved.

The ninjas have no power in private groups.

The webteam will step in if a group is orchestrating attacks (especially if it affects the mains or other sites) or in the case of illegal activities.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

That's the group moderators' responsibility. Achronos only comes in when the group is blatantly violating the CoC/ToU.

Well alright, but how would the webteam know if this was happening?

If something spills over onto the main forums then they would probably notice that, or if something was happening in the groups there is a good chance that it would get reported.

Administrators have the inborn ability to read and talk in strains of pure code. Think the Matrix and Skyrim. This way, they only need to take a peek at their master administrator version of this website to see everything that is going on.

But seriously, I'm pretty sure that administrators have the ability to view groups' forums and users' messages whenever they want.

But still, it's not like they're just going to go around groups seeing if someone is violating the CoC. It seems like the only logical explanation is that someone has to report the group to someone on the webteam first.

From my knowledge, they rely largely on reports from "us." They probably also have tools to check posts, or something.

The Song Of Nephilim

Xenoblade <3

Depends if the mod is in the group. They would take care of it.

The NEIGHBOR of God.

Follow me on Twitter: @Godzneighbor

Xbox Ambassador: Feel free to ask any questions you might have about a Xbox issue in a PM to me. I may be able to help!

Depends, if it is severe or not.

If it is severe enough, they'd probably just let the webteam handle it.

I guess not.

Besides, I doubt anyone actually discuss those kind of things in private groups.

No, however groups that are created for spamming purposes are likely to be nuked along with the members.
