Before, you could, say, land 3 DMR shots and a melee, and still need a headshot.
With bleedthrough, the shield doesn't need an extra hit to knock the shields off. So lower their shields to lets say, a tiny sliver with an AR, then DMR them to the head. Should kill them instantly. Same factor with Melee, you don't have to double pummel after planting 15 rounds into them.
