Real life? What is that?
Graphics are good, gameplay sucks. Overhyped IMO.

I don't want to help you. I'm sorry. =(

Edit - I'm talking hypothetical situations here.. No need for the "LOL Bungie would never hire a loser like you!". If my question riles you, pretend I'm a speck. Specks are easy to overlook. You could try it ;-).

Hey,

I've been thinking that writing for Bungie would be a kick-ass job.. But I'm in New Jersey. Unlike SOME people (cough, Achronos.. Kidding :D) I really love my state, and it's a long walk to Washington state.

My question is simple.. Do you guys think that Bungie (or any creative company for that matter) would hire a distance worker? Not needed obviously, but a little golden love-text here would be nice.

Phil

PS - Bungie. New York office. Now.

:)

I wouldn't think so. It's hard to keep a lid on things when your employee is in some other state.

So, Death or Bungie?

If you have the skill and meet their requirements then I think they would be more than happy to help you move over there.

Oh rats! I already packed my bags and booked my flight :-(.

Thanks for all the input guys, I'm just thinking about all this for future reference. Can we keep this alive until someone from Bungie might wake up to see it?

Just talking hypothetical situations here! Besides that, I have family conflicts that could force me to stay close by. Just smile :-).

There are three people I serve. God, Chuck norris, and Evilcam.

I don't think so.

I don't think that they do that, but I don't know for sure since I don't work there myself.

If you could even get hired as a writer, they require relocation. No exceptions. Plus that is hardly ineffecient to be in a different state.

I don't think they would, but they could. Besides I'd rather work for them in their office instead of away from them.

Hypothetical? Uh, in that case, if you got Jason Jones really drunk...

But seriously, it matters what the job is, but I can't think of a job that won't be negatively effected by being so far away from the rest of their company.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Bungie is a very collaborative place. I imagine that there is something significant lost when you can't yell over to your coworker at the next desk to ask him about an idea or have a coworker walk over to you and work with you on integrating something into the latest build.

This question pops up from time to time in this forum, and I have never seen it answered by a Bungie employee, so I wouldn't hold out hope for that. But I have never seen a "telecommutable" position open on the jobs board. To the best of my knowledge (which, as a person who DOESN'T and never has worked at Bungie, is admittedly limited), the answer to your question is no. Sorry man.

Unless my memory fails me, I seem to recall Achronos speaking to it at one point. i can't really be bothered to look it up, though.

There is a speck on my iPad screen that just won't go away...and it's really bothering me...

Anyway, if I recall in some vidoc or interview, Bungie even sets up the workspace with the idea of collaboration in mind. They want all the employees to be able to work together easily. I don't think they would want any distance employees.

However, some companies are usually willing to pay a new employee to move, and I know you like New Jersey (for some reason) but if you have a dream for working at Bungie, perhaps a job there would change your mind.
