Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.
-blam!- all of you fanboys!
CTF is not about knowing when to run the flag. It's simply, running the flag.
Most of you wait till you have the enemy cornered in their spawn before you even make an attempt at it.
In which case, You're not that good of a CTF player if the only way you can score is when the enemy team is basically getting -blam!- over.
Try scoring a flag without spawn trapping and see what I mean.
It's actually quite satisfying. Compared to the former.
That's like having a push up-contest with someone who has a sumo-wrestler sitting on top of them.
Herp.. I beat you. ME = 10 push-ups.. You = 0
Since I know I need to clarify this a bit for the retards...here it is:
CTF is about knowing WHEN TO KILL.
I have a teammate sneaking to the enemy base..he's undetected as of yet. I have an enemy half way to my base. If I kill that enemy now. He's going to spawn back up at his base and give my sneaky teammate a bit of trouble getting out of the base with their flag.
If I however. Allow the enemy to continue to move towards me....allow him to kill me a few times even... waiting for the proper moment to send him back to his base. Which is hopefully after my teammate has grabbed the flag and warped out.
So long as that enemy is pre-occupied with me in the middle of the map....then. Well you figure it out.
