I agree that the first Halo's missions were more engaging, and despite some people's opinions, I think some of the first Halo's missions were alot longer than Halo Two's. For example, it took me nearly an hour to beat Assault on the Control room on Heroic the first time I played it, I don't think I spent that long on levels on Halo 2.

halo 1 was repetitive at times. Halo 2 had a more expansive asymmetrical style but the play style from Halo 1 was good.. So implement the best from both.

It should def be more like Halo 1. It was a much better mix of open world and corridor shooting. Halo2 was to much corridor shooting .

Here's an idea. It should be like Halo 3. And it will kick ass!

I really liked both games a lot but I thought that the replayablity of the 1st one was better so i would want it more like H1

I actually didn't enjoy Halo 1's campaign overall. It, to be frank, surprises me that the majority of people think that.

I mean, I love it, don't get me wrong. But I've only played through the whole game twice.

It's extremely repetitive, and although levels are different when you repeat them, it's not enough to not bother me.

POA - Good level, just repetitive rooms/hallways.

Halo - Good level, not much, if any, repetition.

T&R - FUN level, but the ship has a few repetitive hallways. This one doesn't bother me too much though.

Silent Cartog - Great level, little to no similar looking areas. Fresh.

AotCR - I love this level, but not at the beginning. Until you're outside its the same room, over and over again. Outside is a blast! Then back inside for the same repetitive circular room. The end is fantastic.

343 GS - I do like this level, but there are a few rooms that feel repetitive. And of course, the backtracking starts. Now, granted, going backwards, you're playing a different set of enemies, but still, you're replaying the thing backwards.

Library - ...Need I say more?

TB - Again, for the most part, AotCR in reverse. Now, for being the same level in reverse, it's a good level. The battles are epic, but it's just...tough to get so excited about it when you're replaying an already repetitive level backwards.

Keyes - It may or may not be the T&R ship, but inside it sure looks the same, so it feels like a replay to me, just with Flood thrown in.

Maw - I don't have a problem with this one really, because even though it's the POA, you see many different parts of it, and the atmosphere just seems very different to me.

Halo 2's campaign I enjoyed, not that it wasn't without repetition and boring sections, in my opinion.

CS - Fantastic level, can't think of anything really annoying off the top of my head, lol.

Outskirts - Feels like a rehash of Halo in the beginning, but besides that, every area is fresh and new. I suppose the Tunnel got repetitive at the end, but not too bad.

Metro - Love the tank at the beginning, reminds me of the section from AotCR, "Rolling Thunder." No complaints here, every area, Bridge, HighwayTunnel, Atrium, Street, Scarab, are all different and offer very different expereinces.

Arbiter - Early on I didn't enjoy this one too much, some more repetitive rooms. But finally, a massive Banshee section, quite possibly the most fun I've had playing a Halo game.

Oracle - I like the whole structure falling down feel, but it's got replaying of Arbiter backwards again...and the boss, bosses, for me, aren't fun.

Delta Halo - I suppose you could call the temple areas repetitive, but I didn't think so. Maybe it's because I get to drive a tank, I dunno. FUN, fantastic level, and it's just beautiful.

Regret - This one's still fun, but there are just a few repetitions in the rooms. Not enough to really bother me, since the action varies enough. The elevators are nice interim cutscenes so to speak, where you get the info, without a REAL stop in the action. Regret sucked, and by that I mean the boss battle.

SI - Ya know, it was better than the Library, lol. Still, a fairly repetitive level, though the vents and outdoor areas make it a much more bearable and enjoyable level compared to The Library.

QZ - I'll be honest, I've only played this level once. (I don't like Flood, lol) From what I remember though, it was a blast. Just fantastic!

Gravemind - This is the level I find myself playing time and time again. Yes, there are some repetitive areas, but for some reason, it doesn't matter. Maybe it's the look of the level, the different enemies, whatever. This level is by far my favorite Halo 2 level.

Uprising - Overall, a good level. Nothing extremely repetitive. Outdoor > Indoor though.

High Charity - Thank God it's short. I love the atmosphere, I just don't like replaying a decent chunk of Gravemind backwards.

Great Journey - Beginning's fun, inside is fun, nothing repetitive, different rooms and experiences, especially with those Hunters. Another fantastic Banshee section, but again, BOSS BATTLE just ruins this level.

...Wow, I wrote a lot. Anyways, what I think I notice, I find myself playing through Halo 2's full campaign more than Halo 1, but I can think of maybe 2 levels in Halo 2 that I would play nonstop, and those ones can't touch levels like Maw, AotCr, and Silent Cartog.

I just keep coming back to Halo:CE's campaign. There's something it has which the second one doesn't which makes it timeless. In that sense sure, I want Halo3's campaign to be more like that of Halo:CE.

Halo freak, that was the longest rant, if not the only rant on some of the repetitive levels of both halos, touche', and well done, lol!

What I'd like to see is dynamic levels. Somehow if you could make it so that items spawn in different areas, or even if the entire layout was different each time you played it. This would greatly increase the difficulty of the game, as you couldn't just memorize where things are and rush past stuff.

Combine elements from both games and you're as good as gold.

I'd personally like to see a level somewhat like Halo in the 1st game, where we get to drive around in wide open ares on Earth.

"Just like chiropractors!" Caboose - funny -blam!-

"If god is love, then you can call me cupid" Sarge.

Whispering marine - "you'll give away our position!"
sarge - "I'll do as i damn well please!" (kills grunt with sniper rifle)
elites rule, MCs r cool

Its on the 360, which means however they make it, it will kick ass. it will probably be as long as both halo games put together, with twice halo 2s graphics, and an even better story because all the questions will be answered along the way. on CE it was the other way around, more questions just kept popping up, which kept you going i suppose. - not a bad thing.
