When I first played it, I didn't like it. I was annoyed that it was a cliffhanger. But I've grown to like the ending now, I think it was a great way to end it.

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

it was on OK ending, like Halo: Combat Evolved there was nothing special about. Halo2 and Halo 3: ODST's ending was more appealing to me

I think it was a great way to end and start a trilogy

I run Skirmish!!!

it was a good ending, pretty epic way to end a trilogy.. too bad bungie is not following up with it as i do not like 343i so i probably will not be getting halo 4

Yep

It is very epic. I hope halo 4 has an ending like that.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Not really sure what Bungie was trying to accomplish with Halo 3's ending.

On one hand, it was the end of the trilogy, and seemingly the end of John's story arc. However, they deliberately left about a dozen loose ends and had Mendicant Bias say that he was beng sent to the Forerunners. The only thing that Halo 3 resolved was the Covenant's role in the series, there are still many problems the UNSC have to face.
