Subject: HALO 3 CONTEST? (someone at Bungie please read!!!!)

Big Bucks No Whammys!!

I think Bungie should do a contest to pick 5 regular people to come to Bungie Studios and have a hand in the making of Halo 3!! How cool would it be to go to Bungie and help finish Halo 3, not that they need any help. You could tell them your ideas for the game and see first hand why it would be possible or why it wouldn't work. Not that we can't tell Bungie our ideas here on the forums because we have, but to be looking some Bungie employee in the eye when you do it and know they're actually listening to you is a whole nother ball of wax.It would be so cool to be playing the final product of the game with your friends and be like "oh did you like that it was my idea". It wouldn't have to be limited to just your ideas either, maybe you could sit in with Marty as he records some music for the game. Possibly you could lend your voice to one of the marines in the game or any character for that matter(except for the main characters of course). You could test the game when its finished, or you could do some kind of promotion for the game when its released, the possibilities are limitless. This just occured to me while I was typing, you know how Bungie had the second disc with the behind the scenes stuff on the limited edition of Halo 2, maybe the winners could do something like that for Halo 3. Of course there would be some legal papers for the people to sign that says you won't talk about the game until its release or you will get sued, etc. things of that nature. All Bungie would have to do is fly the winners out and give them a place to stay while they was there. As far as the people selected Bungie could do some sort of contest, pick random people off of these forums, or choose someone who has posted really good ideas that they like. Either way I think I should be one of the 5 since it was my idea.*smiles real big* The people selected should be at least 18 or over, I'm 26 if you was wondering, and probably no more than 5 people. You don't want a lot of people there getting in the way of things. I really don't see a down side or a reason for Bungie not to do it other than someone leaking game info out before the game even ships, which shouldn't happen because of the legal papers that you have to sign. Besides if its someone who really wants to be there and they respect Bungie their not going to ruin anyone elses experience of Halo 3 by leaking info out. Thats pretty much the basis of my idea, I've had it for awhile and thougt "hey why not post it you never know Bungie just might go for it". I think its a really good idea, it would show that Bungie really appreciates its fans and their opinions and for the people selected it would be a amazing experience that they wouldn't be able to have otherwise. Thats pretty much it feel free to comment whether you think its a good idea also or if you think I'm crazy.

LONG LIVE HALO!!!!

Big Bucks No Whammys!!

I don't see how any thing that I posted would make Halo 3 a bad game? Even if bungie did go with some of your ideas its not going to ruin the game in any way. I still think this is a really good idea and would like some more of your feedback on it whether its good or bad.

Remeniscent of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory...
It could work, but judging by the general idiocy and arrogance of the Halo community five random people from it would certainly give a bad influence to a game that MUST be absolutely PERFECT!

Big Bucks No Whammys!!

Why does Bungie attract so many immature little kids?

Anywho, thats my point wuyie, for those of us who has a full time job, a family, and doesn't live at home with mommy thats pretty much the only way we are going to get to experience the magic of making a game. I don't think anyone is getting the concept, okay forget the idea part of my original post and concentrate on the other things like setting in with Marty or making your own behind the scenes video of Halo 3. Its more of being there and having some sort of a hand in making the game rather than going in and taking control of it which you all seem to think i meant. Bungie can call it fan appreciation or whatever.

The point I'm trying to make is it would be pretty damn cool if Bungie let x amount of fans come to the studios and have some sort of hand in the making of Halo 3, and if you knew Bungie was doing something like this you would be doing anything in your power to be one of the people selected.

Hell no

Have you read some of the comments/ideas that come from people at these forums?

Although I found Halo 2 to be extremely dissapointing, I still trust Bungie's ideas a hell of a lot more than the people on these forums.
