Obvious spoilers below

"it is your duty to kill/destroy this servant, that another may be freed" - the primordial

This leads me to ask two questions:
1. Who is this "freed" servant?
2. Who are these servants serving, if they are serving one master rather than just the general flood/precursor race?

Speculation below
1. This "freed" servant may have the same personality as the captive, which would explain the link between the GM and the captive, even though the captive was (seemingly) executed

2.Their "master" is the yet to be revealed primary antagonist of the reclaimer trilogy and the captive and this new servant (who both have GM -ish personalities and speak in the same way) are only serving it.

Umm, he wasnt the last precursor.
He was the last precursor from his race, there are other races.

And i think the flood are also precursors, they are a millitary unit of precursors.

Do not waste your tears, I was not born to watch the world grow dim. Life is not measured in years, but by the deeds of men.

We should know better, because we are better.

I have no clue. Maybe the "master" is the Primordial's personality and the servants are the "bodies" it takes over. Didact kills this servant (the original body) and the master (the Primordial) frees another ( Gravemind) to be his new servant.

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

That's what I'm thinking.

Stop being such a Jim.

Why don't you shut up?

What if he is referring to Chakas when he says "another will be freed"? We've already seen what happens when 343 GS goes crazy; he kills people, betrays people, tries to murder the galaxy, those kinds of things. Maybe the Precursor somehow got through to Chakas and gave him some kind of instruction for dealing with humans when they become dominant? The Precursor certainly got through to Mendicant Bias.
