Hi there.

We know that Johnson is immune to the Flood, and that he is a Spartan I. Everyone seems to think he is immune to the Flood because of Boren's Syndrome. I think he is immune because of his augmentations. Think about it. We've never seen any Spartans become infected, with the exceptions of Johnson, who turned out immune, and Master Chief, who narrowly escaped becoming infected, if he could be infected at all.

TL;DR: Spartan augmentations can make you immune to the Flood.

Boren's Syndrome was made up, to cover the failure of the spartan 1 program

Umm nothing t think about, its already stated in books..
His neural system is a mess...thats why the flood cant infect I's and II's.
Otherwise the flood cant be stopped unless they want.

^^ THIS, Boren's Syndrome is the result of shoddy augmentations and the lack of super awesome genetics thereby messing a nervous system up so bad the flood don't even want it :|

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Primordium reveals that there's no such thing as immunity to the Flood, and the only reason ancient humans thought they'd stumbled upon it was because the Primordial chose to let this happen (so the Forerunners would preserve humanity, who the Precursors had chosen as 'heirs' to the mantle for reasons unclear).

It's possible Johnson wasn't infected for a reason. It might all be part of the Timeless One's great plan.

So, Death or Bungie?

Very possible but I think it was due to his system being so messed up though again it could be something The Timeless One was planning and it might also have something to do with the people having a Geas.

Yes, but the Primordial could be lying. What better way to stop the possible production of a cure than to say there never was one? Of course, he could be telling the truth. As for Johnson, according to HGN, there was never any opportunity for the Flood to infect him, IIRC.

Sorry am I missing something?? I thought Johnson was there when Jenkins was infected and when Keyes was captured/infected.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I could swear I even saw the flood infection forms flying towards Johnson.

Which brings me to another point if this Timeless One intended for the Flood to give Johnson a 'get out of jail free card' then why were they attacking him and trying to infect him.

Forgive me if I have missed something here I'm not that knowledgeable on the Timeless One and Primordial so correct any stupidities.

Actually what i think is that Johnson was not infected was because he was mutated to a point and his genes vastly damaged, but not noticed as much, that he was nearly different. Plus the augmentation could maybe not be handled as it may have divided the spartans biologically from the humans.

In the graphic novel, Johnson shot all the forms that got close to him. They were never close enough to infect him.

I haven't read the book about the timeless one, but is it possible Johnson got his geas messed up by the augmentations?

They alter your brain don't they? Make you think faster, you can assume they at least attempted it.

Got a good feeling about this idea.
