Of course, play smart - But lets say there is about 10 seconds left, your ENTIRE team is pushing for this one hill, with about 3 seconds left before it makes the phase advance onto the next one, whereas the other hill was unbreakable, and would still take too much time even with instant death mode. You'd want to get into that moshpit and push for those 3 seconds.
You know, those nail biting spam your grenades into the corner and run into the hill, pummeling away at your melee button moments in Invasion? Typically a result of crappy teamwork, but that last couple of seconds can make or break it for the team who is pushing.
