Yeah they do because in Halo: CE Cortana notices that the flood are collecting the bodies of dead Covenant in the corner. And in Halo 2, while fighting the flood as the Arbitor, one of the elites mentions bringing weapons to burn the dead bodies.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least. We haven't seen a Flood Brute, and don't know anything about the innoculation time for them. He may have already been infected, for all we know.

tartarus is the leader of the brutes but he could infect them and be the leader of the Flood Brute (new species)

The Prophet of Regret was also dead before he turned into a flood form. He's in the cutscene with MC, the Arbitor, and Gravemind.

Correction, Ding Dong. Flood can infect a body that has already been infected, even if the Spore is gone. They can't infect lifeless bodies, unless they have some Flood in them. Also, you're going to get blacklisted for calling people an idiot. I suggest you edit your post.

I've never been blacklisted for calling someone an idiot. And I've called them worse. The flood can infect any sentient life. How else would they "get some Flood in them" like you have stated? If they couldn't infect lifeless bodies, there be no flood, and therefore would be no halo. The Flood don't just spring out of nowhere. Idiot.

I dunno, the brutes might be too stupid for the Flood's liking... (:P Just trying to lighten this forum's attitude up a little as it's looking towards flaming...)

I think Tartarus should make a come back and hunt down the Arbiter because for a Brute Leader he felt like a normal Brute in Halo 2

Did we fight the same Tararus on Legendary? There is no comparison to a normal brute...besides the appearance.

I'll bet Tartarus does come back as a Flood. He'll probably act as Gravemind's second in command. But imagine folks... flood brutes? They're hard enough to kill already!!

  • 05.19.2006 9:35 AM PDT

"Not really. They eat their wounded."
"Just like chiropractors!" Caboose - funny -blam!-

"If god is love, then you can call me cupid" Sarge.

Whispering marine - "you'll give away our position!"
sarge - "I'll do as i damn well please!" (kills grunt with sniper rifle)
elites rule, MCs r cool

They'd be easier to kill if they were flood. It rots their flesh meaning instead of 12 gauges being stopped by muscle they will tear apart the rotting flesh, or be sliced in half in one swipe not two.

We don't know that the Flood can't use dead bodies, I mean, on the Truth and Reconciliation in Halo 1 the Flood were gathering the bodies...

what would be the point of burning the bodies then
because they were already flood-infected. The elite is referring to two dead combat-forms on the deck at the base of the elevator.
