I'm placing you on the hitlist.

Is the 10 year deal with Activision for just one IP?

Jeez, the game has next to none info and we are already talking about a sequel?

  • 02.12.2012 1:45 PM PDT

There are three people I serve. God, Chuck norris, and Evilcam.

Wow, allready we're talking about a sequel to a game that hasn't even come out yet? OT: IDK.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

If it sucks it wont.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I'm guessing it will be in the same universe, but not a direct sequel, like the Fallout games.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Jason Jones don't like no sequels.

more than likely there will be a sequel.

So we should expect a new trilogy?

  • 02.12.2012 1:48 PM PDT

Key

They're creating a new universe so I think it's safe to assume that if it's successful, it very well might.

But it's FAR too early to be even thinking about a sequel... so stop it.

That's not what he said... Way to read, ken.

2/15/12: Francisco Porras, I'll miss you. Rest in Peace.

They've been working on it since ODST (maybe even before that), so I think it's safe to assume there will be more than one game set in the universe.

I am thinking that we will see new games set in the same universe.

For example, Pathways into Darkness was set 500 years before Marathon but was part of the "Marathon" storyline. But at the same time, Marathon wasn't really a sequel to Pathways into Darkness because it was such a different game.

I have even seen how Myth can be linked to Pathways into Darkness and Marathon by people claiming the comet was a S'pht ship (they can make ships out of planets and 10x the size of High Charity) and how the god king could of made the Myrcridia.

Is it confusing? Yes, Can it connect the 3 games? Yes

"Inveniam Viam Aut Facium" _~

if ( !now ){ when(); }

Does downloadable content count as a SQL?

Yeah... A brand new universe in the old universe. Makes sense.

It could be for multiple IP'S.

They've been working on it since ODST (maybe even before that)
If they've been working on it for that long then it is possible that a small team has splintered off to start a new universe while "Destiny" is polished off. Similar to how ODST came about.

  • 02.12.2012 2:06 PM PDT

Who the hell do you think I am?

We only have the slightest idea of what Destiny is, and you're already asking about a sequel?

What is this I don't even...

To be fair, it's probably been a side-project since ODST with Halo taking the main stage and is only now becoming their (near) exclusive project as far as manpower and resource-distribution goes.

  • 02.12.2012 2:08 PM PDT

If this is the state of my art, then I secede.

They've confirmed for 4 sequels, 2 prequels, and a movie deal.

Oh wait, they've confirmed nothing. Zip, zero, zilch.

That doesn't mean to say they don't have Urk and Joe working on a new universe with a few artists, similar to the 5 man team of ODST.

lol

The press release indicated that for the next 10 years Bungie would be working with Activision on a series of games. I assumed it would be three games, and that it would be a trilogy.
