Secure URLs should be able to be formatted as links, just as normal URLs.

For example:
http://www.bungie.net/
This is a classic URL, which of course works.

https://www.bungie.net/
This is a secure URL, which does not work.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

I'm such an internet noob. I do not even know what a 'secure URL' is.

Why?

In my experience you can just remove the 's' and the link still works. Worse case scenario the page you linked to redirects to a 'secured' page.

Yes, that is true, but that does not mean that it should be ignored. The required changes *in my mind* do not look complicated, therefore it is just a small thing that would be nice to have working.

It's not necessary, but it would certainly be convenient.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

That's the problem. What you're wanting is insignificant to other bigger problems and updates that the web team is probably working on right now. Even though it's most likely not that complicated, it's still not that important.

That won't always happen. There are some servers which don't support or aren't set up to perform the redirection from HTTP to HTTPS, which will just leave you with a "no response" or "can't connect to the server" message.

If it's a regex, the likely fix is the inclusion of two characters.
