Now We all are curious about gravemind and his role in Halo 3. And many of us beleive gravemind to be apart of the flood. But why is he so different from the flood and why is he so much more intelligent. So I wanted to know what you guys think graveminds role in Halo 3 is and why he is so much more inteligent then his though to be flood counterparts.

He seems to resemble a weed.

Just thought id say that.

"The Gravemind
Description:
No one truly knows the Gravemind's purpose, but it is comprised of a huge mass of flesh and bio-matter that the Flood combat forms have brought it to absorb. it has a "mouth" through which it communicates, and has may far-reaching tentacle-like appendages.

It is thoerized that the Gravemind may in fact control other Flood forms, or at least influences them via telepathy. It is also speculated that the Gravemind may be a highly evolved Flood Brain form.

The Gravemind was discovered on Delta Halo in October of 2552. It "saved" Spartan-117 after he fell into the lake under which the Gravemind resides. It also captured the Arbiter, and forced the two of them to work together to stop the Prophets of Mercy and Truth from activating Delta Halo's primary weapon.

Cortana later deduced that Gravemind had in fact duped everyone. Gravemind needed to get off of Delta Halo and while the Master Chief, The Arbiter, Sgt. Johnson and Commander Keyes were trying to stop Truth and Mercy it had the Flood take over In Amber Clad, Keyes' ship. It used the ship to move itself from Delta Halo to High Charity, the Covenant holy city.

Spartan-117 boarded the Forerunner ship that fled High Charity with Truth, and in the process left Cortana at the mercy of Gravemind.

"Not really. They eat their wounded."
"Just like chiropractors!" Caboose - funny -blam!-

"If god is love, then you can call me cupid" Sarge.

Whispering marine - "you'll give away our position!"
sarge - "I'll do as i damn well please!" (kills grunt with sniper rifle)
elites rule, MCs r cool

How come Gravemind managed to save MC from the lake and the Arbitor after he "fell" down that hole in QZ? i think he used 2401 for the teleportation, but i don't know how hes going to get to earth (if he does). High charity has lost its power source and IAC is embedded in a column.

I think that with all the complexity surroundig the guy someone should do something. I mean how did he get on the Covenant Holy City in the first place? Does anybody know?

Dunno, just my opinion, I think he is on the Covenants side.
