Stats Don't Mean Anything If You Cheat

It's kinda impossible? Jacob Keyes dies on a different halo ring, got his face mashed in for the neural interface thingy and then probs got obliterated by the destruction of the halo

Prophet of regret was also dead but he was part of Gravemind's body so there is a possibility.

yeah... unless the Truth and Reconciliation was able to flee Halo when it exploded, ride all the way to Delta Halo, and then drop off the gravemind somewhere inside... no...

  • 05.19.2006 11:43 AM PDT

no, keyes body was destroyed along with truth and reconsiliation, however gravmind may be something similar to what keys body may have turned into had it not been destroyed,

aftr all grave mind still has the same bulbouse features (ie the swollen mouth etc) the long tentacles (the start of which could have been what was seen in the level abord the T&R where u get the nural link from the bulbouse lump)

but deifnately not keyes

edit: Life Force, this is not possible as its clearly states in the books that it was destroyed

I don't think so because remember the masta chief punching him in da head? and then them blowing the place to hell? I don't think he survived all that then floated toward the second halo.

"Captain Keyes" died when you plunged your hand into his brain and took his microchip and flood cant bring life forms back to life.

The flood can reanimate the dead. It was not apperent in the first Halo but in Halo 2 they could. Whether or not this is an indication that the Flood are learning is up to speculation. However, after such a long nap don't you think they might be a bit "rusty"?

However, I do not believe that Captian Keyes is Gravemind. Gravemind was around before Keyes was captured (Remember he has "listened through rock, and metal, and time")

they can only reanimate the dead when they have something to reanimate. CHief destroyed any chance of that ever happening. and keys had no organs whatsoever left so when chief was done with him keys was no more alaive then those little blobs on the flood in high charity

How could the Gravemind get to Captain Keyes from the two Halo's? Personly I think in any game or reality that is letteraly impossible. Exept fot the artifact they found on reach. That might do it.Plus the Gravemind has been on Delta Halo for 1000000's of yars. How could Keyes been a vessil for it?

Well, let's see. Keyes was captured by the Flood, had MC punch a gaping hole in his head, and then MC blew the Halo and the Keyes with a hole in his head Flood Form to facking smithereens. And also Gravemind looks like a giant venus fly trap, and bears no resembelence to Keyes.

So....No.

Keyes did die and you bring up the arguement of reanimation but the Gravemind states that he is very old.

Actually, you're wrong. Prophet of regret was infected, not killed.

Well, when u found keyes, he wasn't even human any more, cortana says it. "No human life signs detected, the captain.. he was one of them!?" I wouldn't say he "died" again cuz u punched him in the face and blew it up, but if u look at other floods, even if you shoot their head, the body is still able to move, so I'm guessing when the infection takes over, then the flood proly takes over the body, and no other organs matter. So it's a possibility, but aside from the sergeant being a ninja, i don't think anyone else made it off, unless the flood somehow repaired TnR, and made it off the planet, they probably are dead.

edit:
Actually now i come to think of it, the chief fled the Truth and reconciliation after he got the neural interface, he blew up the PoA, but not the TnR. some flood COULD have made it off halo...

NO
the prophet of regret died on delta halo, that's how the gravemind got control of him

it wouldn't make sense for the gravemind to have control over people who died lightyears away, and who's bodies were completely obliterated.

the monitor of delta halo "243 Penitent Tangent" or something, is also under gravemind's control, which raises more than a few questions for me.
