Subject: Poll Question - Is Gravemind captain Keyes?

Here are my arguments both for and against.

Pro:
-the flood seem to be hive minded, mabye keys was absorbed into the hive mind and then became one of the dominant personas governing the mind (i.e. a main part of Gravemind's personality)?
-Cortana: "The only way to kill the flood is to STARVE them out."
-it's possible that what little might have remained of kyes mind was transfered to another flood body through the little podlings (infection forms) and to a new host and then completeing the journey to Gravemind's body

Cons:
-everything stated above is farfetched, unlikley, crazy and shouldn't have been brought up
-keyes body was on the Truth and Reconciliation, and if you read the books then you would remember that T.a.R. was destroyed with Major Silvas group.
-how the hell would keys have gotten from halo instalation 04 to the delta halo?

First of all, just because Master Chief smashed Keyes's face in doesn't mean the Flood couldn't have reanimated him. With that out of the way...
Infected Keyes was on the Truth and Reconciliation (probably spelled incorrectly, excuse me). The ship was heavily damaged, which is why neither the Covenant nor the Flood used it to leave Halo. The Covenant was trying to get the Flood off the ship because they feared they would use it to escape Halo. Seeing as the Flood was not doing so, we must assume that the ship was too damaged to leave at the time. The ship was still inoperable when Halo is destroyed. The ship had to have been destroyed, along with everything on it. Not only would Keyes body be obliterated, but so would any Flood that might have infected it anyway.
On to the next point...
I'm not saying your wrong, I'm not saying it's not true, but when has it ever been said that the Flood operates as a single mind? Sure, it appears that way, but that doesn't make it true. Keyes mind may have simply been absorbed by the single infection form that took him. MAY HAVE. I don't know very much (okay I know bascially nothing) about the "Brain Form", I'm simply saying.
So for those of you who didn't bother to read all this, here's the short form.

Keyes's body didn't make it off Halo when Master Chief destroyed it.
Keyes's mind may not have been obsorbed by the Flood, but I have no way to prove that.

Btw, if someone could send me a message with DETAILED information on the "Brain Form", I would be very grateful.

I think that what the fellah with all the Writing is right in a way.
But I don't have the books and have only played the games.
Overall it is a very big mabye cause the whole 'Single mind thing' for the flood is a bit farfetched and wierd. But the flood are weird.

And it's your connection that's slower than turtle sex.

In........................................................Out .

He can't be Gravemind, the Truth and Reconcilitation wouldn't even be able to leave Halo, it's reactor went critical. And Keyes is a brain form, a type of flood that takes control of ships, Gravemind is some wierdo flood who speaks in iambic septa-whatever it called, and there could of been a Gravemind at the bottom of the library of installation 04.

If Keyes comes back it would be a fun plot twist for Johnson and Miranda and Regret didn't pass out and fall into the lake at the end of "Regret". You would think that the MC of all people would know how to kill an old man and the Phantoms must have blown him apart if they could destroy the temple. Yet Regret was okay by the time the Arbiter was captured he was attached to a tentacle not captured like the Monitor and the main's so the Flood are capable I think off reassembling or copying bodies. I think that some Flood may have made it off the T & R, I don't know if this is explained in the books but Half-Jaw I think made it off either the T & R or The Pillar of Autumn since he has met the Flood before and you run into Spec-Ops on both the ships.
